💪 Mighty 90W MEAN WELL LRS-100-5: Superior Single Output Power Supply - High Efficiency, 5V 18A Review

Bought to power some RGB pixel based landscape lights I've built. Fits perfectly in the Orbit Sprinkler Box together with the control unit. Meanwell products are known for their durability and reliability!

Small 5V 90W (18A) convection cooled (no fan) power supply for a typical LED array. 18 amps should power about 900 LEDs at 0.020 amps each, but I haven't tried it. The product is smaller than typical overseas shipments. Mean we'll is well known for its low cost LED consumables and has a big share in this market. I think there is room for another generation of even smaller boxes using surface mount technology, as this box still had a lot of through holes on a single sided PCB.

It's hard to believe that you can get a power supply from Mean Well that packs so much power into such a small package. The small size makes it easy to use in waterproof housings for LED lighting. I will for sure buy more of these.
