It's great. A little smaller than I expected but still a good strong head. Some reviews say it doesn't burn, that's not true. It swivels, you just need to tighten the base to the screw on the tripod. I tightened it with a vise. I use it on a Konova 23" slider. I replaced a knob with a shorter stud so it doesn't hit the slider. Excellent build.

I wanted an inexpensive panorama head and it does what I need it to do. It didn't take me long to realize how small it was. I'm sure it fits the specs but if I saw it in person I wouldn't buy it. Its compact size makes it a bit impractical for some applications. It's just a bit unwieldy when everything is so close together. Don't get me wrong - that's all the listing says.

Considering this is a compact pan head, it's slim, solid and easy to attach to my cameras. I put it on my Slik Sprint Pro GM and a large Joby Gorilla Pod. It's a really good platform for taking videos and photos from my point of view and for taking a DSLR shot in video mode while zooming and panning. This is a solid part for the price but mine broke pretty quickly. I tightened the pan and tilt knobs, and I think I overtightened and stripped the screws that go from the knob to the head. Doing this is a total loss mistake. I didn't even over tighten it, I just didn't want my 2000 camera to fall off like a sane person would. This is an excellent head for light to moderate use. I use it for my camera, video and 18" telescope (well balanced). Stability is good, video panning is smooth; although you can't change the "resistance" to the panning movement. The round base where it attaches to the tripod is about 7/8 inch.
