    Solid product for clamps

I removed the rusty exhaust from my trucks and used it to adjust the steering. It's been 3 years and he's still on the truck. Works as intended.

    Pros
    • One year trial period
    Cons
    • There are downsides

    Didn't fit my 3 " tailpipes

did NOT fit my 3" tailpipes. I tried it and it just didn't come together completely and close. This will probably work fine on 2 3/4" pipe. I work with cars and trucks a lot and was hoping to use these instead of welding to make the install easier next time. Ended up in a fight!

    Pros
    • Good stuff
    Cons
    • Not bad but...

    worked better than expected.

Dressed up my Mustang just to take me to the muffler shop to have it done professionally. It sounded good when started and didn't leak, so I've actually been riding two of them for a couple of months now (yes I'm broke and stingy and don't want to pay for exhaust right now). One day I'll take it off, but if it ain't broke don't fix it.

    Pros
    • Lasting Test Results
    Cons
    • Updates Available

Works great, no rust and mostly no leaks

I used this to join two fairly straight exhaust pipes about 1/8" apart. The original installation caused a small leak so I added an exhaust pipe. Sealent and tried again with great results. With the help of an exhaust sealant, the joint is rock solid and basically feels like a one-piece pipe. The connection also doesn't rust, so this part is really stainless steel.

    Pros
    • Easy install
    Cons
    • Clean

    3 " Subaru Success exhaust

I bought a used Cat Back exhaust for a Subaru and had the middle pipe flange cut/turned and welded on for another downpipe. I cut the pipe and was able to twist it to match the downpipe flange and connect it to the other half with this shock collar. No leaks and it's almost imperceptible when you hold the bolts on top of the exhaust pipe.Good product.if you don't have access to a welder to have!

    Pros
    • GOLS certificate
    Cons
    • I don't really like it, everything is fine

So far, so good. I was a little afraid of the absence.

So far so good. I was a little worried about the lack of detailed instructions. Nothing says how the unit will be installed, it simply comes pre-assembled for easy installation. I always like to double check these things as the block is not symmetrical at the top and bottom. In the end I just trusted the company to put it together correctly and installed it as is (smooth radius on bottom closest to pipe, sharp edge from pipe). tightened to 55 lb/ft. It stayed on the first drive, will be updated

    Pros
    • Absolutely amazing!
    Cons
    • Slightly torn

Do-it-yourself exhaust system replacement... not as easy as expected.

I'm changing the engine on my 1990 Chevy K2500 350 5.7L and had to replace the exhaust from the engine to the muffler...replaced the rest not long ago. I was hoping it would be easy to convert a 3" ID to a 3" OD and I was wrong. The Walker 15034 converter I installed had a 3" ID on both ends, which was fine for the exhaust pipe from the header, but the result was my Dynomax 42606 link pipe slipping into the converter, not the other way around... the connection pipe had to make up for the…

    Subaru Success 3 " Exhaust

Bought a used Subaru Cat Back exhaust, center pipe flange was cut/turned and welded on for another downpipe. I cut the pipe and was able to rotate it to meet my downpipe flange and connect it to the other half with this butt clamp. No leaks and almost impossible to find if you hold the bolts on top of the exhaust pipe. Great product if you don't have access to a welder!
