Absolute rubbish! Best Furniture Hardware

Waste of money, they don't stick well under furniture. Like the other reviewer, I ended up just using an old blanket to move the furniture across the freshly soiled floor. They actually scratched my floor which was amazing because it has a soft side (which I used for the floor). They just didn't work well.

Can't take pressure

I understand that this item is cheap so I wasn't expecting much. The plastic part of the lining is quite thin. I bought to put casters under our pianos so we can slide across the hardwood floor. They held on for about 50 feet but failed. When we finished they were quite dented and bent. I will say that the felt bottoms slide well on the floor. I'm not sure how they will hold up under regular furniture with normal use.

Great for piano (in addition to wooden mugs on wheels)

We used them under the piano on hardwood floors. First we placed the wooden hubcaps and then we placed them on the outside of these hubcaps. They fit perfectly into each. Most piano wheel shells have a foam base so that slipping is not possible. We wanted the piano to be able to move at least a little bit so we added them as they are designed to slide. The movers who installed them were able to move them along the wall with ease.

  • Impressive
Cons
  • Lots of things

Great for vertical piano support!

My wife has a very heavy piano. We installed laminate flooring and completely failed to realize the damage a heavy piano could do on that floor. We bought them quickly while the floor was laid. We put them under the piano's casters and it glides across the floor so easily, staying in the cups and no longer worrying about damaging our new "expensive" floor! The bells are made of a heavy metal that gave slightly under the weight of the piano; However, this is to be expected. He did the main job.

They've worked for me for years

I have a few pieces of furniture with metal legs and when I replaced the floors I knew the new ones would never survive those legs. I bought and used these casters and the floor around this furniture is still in good condition. (Floors have generally suffered over 11 years of use, but metal furniture legs have done no more damage over time than simple use.) And they continue to function even if/when dented and heavily used. Sometimes I took them out to vacuum the bottom and top (lots of dog…

Works great but the console legs have slipped off the casters.

I'm actually ordering a second set because I only need 8 pieces. But when I started moving my TV box, the legs fell off the casters so I only gave it three stars. I think this is because the surface the legs sit on is smooth and my console's legs were larger than the square notches that hold the legs in place. They might work better on smaller feet, but I think it would be better if there was a layer of foam to hold the foot in place. They glide well on hardwood floors - I just had to take my…

Works well with a heavy table on a tiled floor.

Updated November 2017 after four years of use: Still works great. Now I only move the table 3 or 4 times a week. Highly recommended. Original 2013 review: My desk creaked violently as it was pushed across the tile floor. Wood table approx 4 x 7 with 1/4" thick glass to protect the top. Now I can slide it smoothly as if the 1/8" grout line wasn't there. No more creaking! Since I've cleaned the table twice Moving around day I looked for larger slides than I could find locally.Slip side carpeting…
