Excellent product, the best quality.

I got this lens from a disassembled whale, this is my seventh lens for Sony of all time, and against the background of others, it looks very worthy. The A6500 at 18-135 turns out to be light, compact and versatile enough for everyday carry, but at the same time - high enough so that there is no strong desire to put something better. I was pleased with the FE24-240 on the A7III as a travel lens, and so, the A6500 with 18-135 gives plus or minus the same quality, only several times cheaper and…

Pros
  • - All in one. An excellent choice for travel and as a first lens. - Very light and compact. The camera with this lens is placed in a waist purse, while it has an honest 27-200 mm equivalent. - Not bad for installation on a steadicam (although worse than PZ lenses) - from 18 to 35 mm, the length of the lens almost does not change, and even at 135 mm the proboscis extends only 2.5 cm. However, it is inconvenient to zoom while shooting on a steadicam . - Decent sharpness across the frame (the attached photo was taken at 135 mm F5.6), especially if you cover the aperture by 1 stop. Of course, this is not a fixed or fast zoom, but according to my test, this lens on the A6xxx is approximately equal in sharpness to the FE24-240 on the Sony A7III, which are already in a completely different price and weight segment (780 versus 1400 grams). - A good body, taking into account the level and weight of the lens - there are no backlashes, the rings rotate smoothly, there is even an AF-MF switch. - Blend included. - Autofocus is silent, smooth, in bright light - fast. - An excellent combination of price and quality, if you buy complete with a camera or from a disassembled whale.
Cons
  • — Not an option for shooting indoors. To do this, you definitely need to take a fix, for example, Sigma 30 / 1.4 C (if you have a matrix stabilizer) or Sony E 35 / 1.8 (if not). — Shades built-in flash up to 30mm focal length. - Not always enough aperture for autofocus to work in AF-C mode. On the Sony A6500, tracking autofocus works tentatively in shadows, let alone indoors. You can clearly see how the camera is trying to find something to catch on, but it's not very successful. - While zooming, tracking autofocus freezes (on the A6500), and if you take a picture at this moment, there will be a guaranteed miss. - Black corners at 18 mm (visible only in RAW, but in JPEG and video it is corrected automatically - see attached photo). - There are no traces of dust and moisture protection, unlike full-frame staffers. - The effectiveness of the stabilizer is not very high by modern standards - at a long focus, get a blurry photo for 1/125 sec. quite possible. - The boxed version of the lens is unreasonably expensive given its level (the same applies to other Sony whales).

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

I bought this lens to cover all the necessary focal lengths. I want to shoot landscapes, I want a room, but I want birds. The second lens is a fast fix, however, for shooting blacks with bokeh in a coal mine. Everyone has forgotten how mirrorless cameras were positioned a long time ago, and those advertising slogans "the quality of a DSLR in a compact size." They collected heavy huge glasses, rearrange them back and forth, leave half at home, and suffer. The size, weight, and meaning of a…

Pros
  • 1) Mini travel masterpiece. The 18-135 range with such dimensions is really impressive. The size is like mirror whales, which are usually 18-55. Here one lens will replace a double kit, while it . 2) Sharp for zoom. No worse than the glorious sel 18-55. And much sharper sel 16-50. It’s not for nothing that dormouse goes like a whale for older cropped cameras. 3) Stabilizer, allows me to set the shutter speed according to the formula 10 / fr. Half a second at 18mm? Easy, 10 shots out of 10 are sharp. 1/15 at 135? Easily. Architecture is easy to shoot in the evening / at night. Certainly not suitable for driving. 4) There is a button to disable autofocus. Focused once, moved the lever, and you shoot without delay. You can capture the moment. 4 and a half) If you search, you can find new ones scattered for a good price.
Cons
  • 1) The zoom ring is hard. Is it just me? It's hard to turn it with one finger, you have to use two. Maybe it will be developed in 7 years . 2) Minimum focusing distance 45 cm.

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

The lens is great! It does not turn the camera into a huge monster, but at the same time, the focal range allows you to forget about changing lenses and shoot any scenes. For me, the minus is shooting sports indoors - at a shutter speed of 320-400 there is not enough aperture and the ISO flies closer to 1600-3200, which makes noise, but the photos are still of acceptable quality (but not perfect).

Pros
  • 1. Size, weight. 2. Sharpness 3. Color rendering 4. Fast autofocus 5. Low price 6. The range of focal lengths covers almost all the needs of an amateur photographer
Cons
  • 1. Normal aperture for an inexpensive lens 2. No (or minimal) dust and moisture protection

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

Quite an acceptable universal zoom for Sony crop (I use it on 6500). The sharpness is tolerable, not so oh and oh, but quite good. Chromatic aberrations when shooting in jpg do not strain. Focuses quickly on almost the entire range of focal lengths. You can take good portraits, but for this you need to move away and have good lighting. Together with the stabilizer, the carcasses allow you to shoot hand-held even in a cave at a shutter speed of 1/8 at a focal length of, say, 30. In general, if…

Pros
  • Focal length range, weight
Cons
  • Aperture

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

I use this lens with a Sony a6400 camera. For me, this is the perfect travel lens, focal lengths are just for this purpose. I liked the sharpness of the picture, the stub works with a bang. For such focal lengths it is very compact, it even fits into a jacket pocket along with the camera . Of the minuses, one can note the fact that it attracts dust, there are several large trash cans inside after 9 months of use) by the way, they are also pleasant to shoot in cloudy weather, they even get clear

Pros
  • Cutting Compact

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm very happy with the product, it's very satisfying.

At the maximum focal length of 135mm, I managed to shoot a frame without blurring at a shutter speed of 1/6 with this lens, the 18-55 kit lens allowed me this only at 18mm. There is nothing to say about 55-210 in this regard, it would be necessary to sell it now. The matte black color is much better than the glossy silver (which was previously common with Sony): the lens is beautiful and pleasant to the touch. Filters 55mm. I recommend taking the unswept one (the one that came with the carcass)

Pros
  • Indispensable for travel. I have been waiting for such a lens for several years. Large zoom range, light weight and compact size. Sharpness is good. Very good stabilizer.
Cons
  • Got exactly what I wanted. It’s a sin to complain about aperture ratio, because no one expected it from this lens. Expensive, but what can you do, you have to pay for technologies in a compact design. They say that in RAW there is vignetting at the minimum focal length, I did not check it, but in JPEG the camera corrects this automatically (even my old NEX-5R).

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

The perfect lens for the Sony crop system. There were 18-200, and 16-70Z, and 55-210 (for some reason they were, they are, I won’t sell them in any way). This one is head and shoulders above any of them. Sharpness surpasses 16-70z, plus a wider range of focal lengths. In short, put it on and forget it. I even stopped carrying a set of three sigma 16-30-56 with me, so I never catch them anyway.

Pros
  • Lightness, compactness, focal range, sharpness.
Cons
  • No.
