Quality of the product is at the level, I will recommend this product

Compared with Soviet 8x binoculars. You can see more in binoculars than at the maximum zoom through the camera (i. E., objects seem much larger through binoculars, including the name of the Hong Kongets MPK located far from the coast, which was not visible through the lens) Has pros: Camping station wagon. Wide range of focal lengths. The front glass does not rotate, you can use the polarizing filter without fear. Has cons: Perhaps it only affects my model, but when shooting landscapes, instead

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

I have been using it for almost two years, I am completely satisfied with the lens. And although now there is a T17-50, and Sony 50 / 1,4 I'm not going to sell this device. Traveling is simply irreplaceable. Recommended especially for beginners. Got pros: Indispensable for all occasions. Very convenient for travel. Sharp on almost the entire range. It focuses fairly quickly and confidently. Compact, good design, for almost two years of use nothing has come loose, the trunk does not move out…

A practical product, nothing to complain about.

A great all-rounder if your primary purpose of shooting is travel and a little bit of the rest, this is a great choice. The focus ring in manual mode crunches a little with sand - but this is the norm. If there was a choice, I would probably take 18-200, but only because of the production of the latter in Japan. Different pros: Excellent sharpness, ease of use, versatility, convenient focus ring, front lens ring does not rotate, compact, relatively light weight, fast enough autofocus, very…

A good balance of price/quality, recommend it.

Convenient for traveling: you can take a picture of the general board and several approximations to the object. Sharpness, of course, is not like on fixes or T1750, which is forgivable with such a range of focal lengths - in general, if you don’t look at 100%, then it’s enough. Much sharper than you would expect from such a zoom. Summary: if there is enough light, it is very convenient.

    Pros
    • Focused, light, small in size. Excellent sharpness in the center for such focal lengths. Sony color is great.
    Cons
    • 1. Falls out, has to be fixed 2. Sharpness in the center, soapy and chromate edges, especially at 250mm. 3. Dark (which is excusable for such a zoom).

I expected mediocre quality, but the product was pleasantly surprised.

Compared it with Sigma 18-250mm. I took the Sigma, since the vignetting is much less pronounced (almost not noticeable), although the Sigma is heavier and larger than the lens from Sony. Sigma also has a hard, slightly jerky, zoom ring. I apologize to Sony (I have a Sony a55 camera), but the quality of the optics is more important! By the way ., sharpness Sigma 4 points. And yet, it’s better to shoot without a stub, for some reason it contributes to blurring the picture ?!

    Pros
    • Pretty compact, lightweight and well-assembled lens. Sharpness by 4 points. Focus ., of course, super ! Smooth movement of the zoom ring.
    Cons
    • Vignetting is quite pronounced, especially on SHU, I did not notice others.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

The quality was generally satisfied, there were minor shortcomings.

This lens was sold together with the camera, it is like a whale lens, so I did not specifically choose it. As the first lens for studying the effects of optics, it’s the most, but it’s not worth buying specially - no, no, it’s not worth your money. It’s probably better to buy Tamron or Sigma, although I don’t know if they have the same aperture ratio, and I assume that in principle such a universal lens cannot give super-sharpness.

    Pros
    • I like the beautiful blurring of the background at long focal lengths, but ideal only for portraits and some kind of "enlargement" of objects, colors, etc. on f/r from 70 to 120
    Cons
    • Unsharp. Both at wide angles and at distances. I slowly switch to manual focus when I have time, because it works better. But maybe you need to give the lens for adjustment so that autofocus works better. Autofocus speed is normal. Uncompensated distortion at wide angles - straight lines just fall in comparison with some fixed-width, which often spoils the frame, as it is already uncorrectable (too much distortion). Essno in the viewfinder these distortions are not visible. Dark circles at the edges of the frame (apparently XA) instantly appear when the aperture is covered - in my opinion already from 6.3 at large f/r. I constantly remove them from the sky in Photoshop . And it does not depend on lighting! I personally lack the richness and brightness of colors, contrast - I think that the camera itself (Sony A580) is not to blame for this. I am constantly editing in Photoshop. In cloudy weather, you can’t take good photos with a “zoom”, because. after f/r 120 there is not enough sharpness even at aperture 11 and more.

    Very good, but not magical.

I've only taken a few hundred shots with this lens so far, but I'm quite impressed. Given the large area it covers, this is an excellent zoom lens. making it a very good "universal" lens. It's significantly better than the stock lens in its overlap area, focuses fairly quickly and offers a lot more zoom, but at focal lengths of around 18-21mm there's still noticeable barrel distortion, as well as some softness and light loss at the telephoto end... as expected. You can definitely beat this lens

    Pros
    • Decent performance
    Cons
    • Almost OK

    Overall great lens: Camera lenses

I was looking for a lens that "does it all” for my Sony A-55 DSLR as I don't want to keep changing lenses. I knew some people think that a generic lens reduces performance and photo quality. I can say that this lens performed well in every situation and I am very satisfied. The quality is superb and it's the perfect lens for my A-55. The lens is not too heavy and appears well balanced. If you're looking for a lens that can be carried with your camera for all types of shots, from wide-angle to…

I bought this lens for my Sony Alpha 77 camera to keep an old 18-105mm lens as my go-to lens for all of my travel photography replace it and I wasn't disappointed at all. Focus is accurate and there is very little image distortion when taking wide-angle photos in a horizontal position. Under 30mm vertical shots there is some distortion and a small dark blur in the corners of the frame, but that's my only negative observation. Before purchasing this lens I read a review about internal focus…

    Still Close

This is a replacement for a Sony SAL18250 lens that I have owned for over a dozen years but has developed some internal fogging due to humidity which is an unfortunate aspect of the South Florida climate. Tokai Camera Shop delivered it here after about 2 weeks with enough bubble wrap to wrap a crystal vase. It was in perfect condition and didn't look restored in any way. Even the bayonet was unmarked. The cost of restoring my old lens is about the same as what I paid for this lens. They even…

    does the trick! - Lenses

I bought my A57 with a kit lens and while this lens exceeded my expectations I knew I needed something more versatile. Photos from the SAL18250 are very good (I consider myself an intermediate amateur although I would buy a Zeiss lens if I had $$. Of course if I had $$ I wouldn't use the APS-C model but I digress .) In general it does exactly what I want it to do and combines the flexibility I had with my DSC-HX1 with the image quality of an APS-C sensor. I needed something faster than 3.5 so I

Versatile lens, best super zoom with a hairline Alpha mount

Bought used Revain Warehouse Deals version - very good condition. The lens was like new, there were no signs of wear. Came in original packaging with all parts. Very different from my experience with other used equipment outlets. I'm glad I bought the Revain and not from an online camera shop that had a used version at the time. Very happy with my 4WD experience. The lens is very versatile, and the convenience of a single lens for the 18-250 comes at a price (images are a bit softer compared to
