Was bad. - Spares

Does not open fully on 205 (probably a weak heat engine. After installation my engine revved to 215 before being shut down and replaced with the stock 195.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Nothing

Best thermostats on the market

Solved my heat problem on a 2000 S10 Extreme for extreme winters. Allows for a faster warm-up, but keeps the temperature at a constant level of 205 degrees. It's possible to go back to the 180-degree thermostat in the summer, but I'll definitely turn on Start if I do.

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Appearance

10 degrees hotter than standard Jeep 4.0L

This thermostat was recommended on the Jeep forum to run the engine at a higher temperature for slightly better gas mileage than the stock 195F unit. It fits my 1998 Jeep Cherokee with a 4.0 liter 6 cylinder engine. I don't know about the gas mileage but the temp gauge now reads 210F directly when warmed up.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Work Work Work for Thermostats

Need a high temperature thermostat for a quick warm up on cold mornings. The commute to work takes just 20 minutes at a distance of 7 miles. This thermostat is for the '89 GMC 454 (Chevy) 3500. Don't look for extra horsepower on this engine. and mileage. I don't typically have a 5-6 mile defrost when driving right after starting. I haven't tried a cold start yet, I'm waiting for the change of season. Engine temp this summer at 100+ ambient air was 200-210. This engine has a heater core bypassโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home

and it seems better to return fuel consumption

This worked very well on my 1999 Jeep Cherokee 4.0. It was a direct replacement for the factory thermostat, which opens at a slightly lower temperature. So my jeep is right in the middle of the moderate pressure scale, delivers hot heat and appears to deliver better fuel economy. specific temperature range to work in the most efficient condition. If the car is running cool, it's also likely to use a lot more gas (and you're probably sucking). Don't believe the bullshit that lower temp raceโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
