Ideal for Coleman Camp Oven Insulation

This worked great for my needs. It was 1 inch shorter on one side but still worked. I used it to make the insulating bowl for the Coleman Camp Stove Oven. I also used Nomex thread (40 yards on a spool, also purchased from Revain) to hand sew it. I also used neodymium to attach it to the stove. I've baked Trader Joe's Gingerbread, cornbread, cookies, and chilled cinnamon rolls. The furnace kept a constant heat in 40 degree weather thanks to the welder's blanket. I used the leftovers to make the…

Used on Traeger cold weather grill

Bought this blanket specifically for use on my Traeger Ironwood 650 in cold weather. The sizing was almost perfect for this Traeger model and definitely helps the grill work properly in cold weather. I use at 50 degrees and below. I used it up to 20 degrees. I use strong magnets to hold the blanket on the grill. I would recommend buying this blanket if you are struggling to keep your grill warm in cold weather. It's not a perfect solution, but it's a definite improvement!

Pros
  • Light welding, sparks and spatter.

I have not used this as a welder.

I would like to start by saying that I am NOT using this product according to the manufacturer's instructions. This is a sweat blanket. I use it as an insulating grill cover for pellet smoking and generally only when the temperature is below 350 degrees Fahrenheit. It works great and is perfect for my application. Perfect fit for my Pit Boss Austin XL. I only had to make small adjustments by making slits on one end to allow the smoker's grip to fit better. The blanket definitely works well for…

I will buy them again.

Firstly, I did not use them for their intended purpose and the seller is not responsible for any damage that may be caused by my actions. I bought this liner to put on my new deck to protect it from falling amber from my Weber kettle and BBQ smoker. So far it has worked very well and I am very satisfied. I will say that it is like a sponge when it rains and holds a lot of water. I hung it out to dry and it didn't hurt. But I will do my best to keep it dry in the future. Also, we recently had a…

Smoker Insulation

My Tilman welding blanket is just what I was looking for for my grilling needs. I have a smoker that isn't the thickest steel on the market. So when it gets cold or windy, I always see the temperature drop. On a sunny day I can hold 250 degrees, but on cold, windy days I get lucky when I hit 200 degrees. So I didn't need insulation in my smokehouse, so I explored ideas for outdoor insulation. I wanted an insulating coating without fiberglass because I was concerned that small particles of…
