Perfect! I'm a delivery driver all over the west.

Excellent! I work as a driver throughout western Massachusetts and Connecticut and this has always gotten me to my destination with ease and ease for us. Would I recommend the Yoda/Darth Vader voice updates as there is nothing like Yoda or Vader giving you directions, giving you praise and chiding you when you miss a turn. Just a few cases where the address could not be found, but this indicates a GPS. So far it's 99.9% reliable and I see no reason why that should change.

The display is brighter with a different USB cable

I like it better once I've figured out the 'function' of the display (from other users' posts on the TomTom forums). NOT listed in the product information, but the included USB power cable (for charging and data transfer) puts the display in a dimmed mode, making it difficult to see the display during the day, dimmer than when running on internal battery alone. To fix this, try a different USB cable that only supports battery power and is NOT designed for data transfer. I had several in stock…

Useful in Canada from the US

This saved a life in Canada when we decided to road trip to Quebec from the US. As we had no data or google maps it was the perfect GPS for getting around. We never got lost with it and now use it for longer trips to new destinations. It is very useful to have in the car for emergency driving or traveling abroad. It took a while to download and update everything on first launch and registration, but once everything was ready we had no problems with it. I haven't uploaded the traffic data…

Disappointed and upset

worth almost nothing. The only reason I had to buy it was that instead of "upgrading" my USA and Canada map on my old TomTom, the site replaced it with a North America and Canada map, which they did during my trip to Nevada useless. I was able to buy a map for the US and Canada for $60 and decided to buy a new one for $70. The new one is barely audible and twice as weak as my old XII. Even without route planning, it only has half the functionality. Now I'm forced to use my old device until I…

Dim Not only the ad, but also the damage addresses are not available.

I was having trouble with my latest Garmin and decided to try the TomTom to see if it was any better. It's good. It counts very quickly. That's all. It's bad, but the display is so dim it's almost invisible on a sunny day. Worse, I typed in the address of a store about 8 miles from here. Directions look correct for the most part, but when I was about 2 miles away he said I'd arrived. When I looked further, it said that the address I entered did not exist. Okay, I got where I'm going. Sitting in

Added new features, lost some features

Replaced a great Tomtom XXL that worked but with limited memory for new big maps. I liked the XXL but not really the GO 50. There is no way to create multi-stop itineraries as we travel across the country. You must use either a PC or an app on your smartphone to create travel plans. Why was this feature removed in the newer product? The real-time traffic update feature is a great and useful feature, but I don't master the tools to avoid delays on the roads ahead of my planned route. Because the

Great upgrade, good for GPS, finders and accessories

I bought this unit to replace an old TomTom I've had for years. In general I am very happy with it. A few notes: I increased the font size to the maximum in the settings. Makes driving directions more visible while driving. The color scheme is more muted than older versions. It's nice once you get used to it. The My Places feature is a bit buried in the menu system. It would be nice if it was more accessible. I love how it turns on and off automatically when you start the car. Gives the…
