For those complaining of poor design, the new grip I received appears to have been modified from the original to address this issue. My original grip failed the same way others have mentioned - the brass lever broke the top of the slot it slides into. On this new handle, the top of this groove is about three times thicker than the old one and has an extra corner piece. Pour in to reinforce that area of the part. I'm sure this new one won't turn out as good as the original.

If you are unsure whether to buy a TOTO part or a genuine part at 1/3 the price, BUY TOTO!
