🚘 Toyota ATFWS Automatic Transmission Fluid, 192oz, Pack of 6 Review

I love this product and use it on my 2016 Toyota Highlander which I change out once a year. If you didn't know the 2016 Highlander has a sealed transmission, I asked the dealer for $390 just for an oil change, not to mention a filter change. So, like everyone else, I turn to the "GOGGLE" teacher and have been doing this for 5 years with no problems.

Oil smells good, reservoirs are easy to open and of course my transmission has 200,000 miles on it and yet the torque converter has failed, the transmission is perfect and shifts perfectly. I haul heavy loads for Tacoma. Changed the torque converter, used a Toyota WS although I was tempted to use a Redline D6 but hey 200k miles and never had an oil change why experiment when you have a proven winner.

Cars are expensive and so is transmission repairs. Newer vehicles have higher requirements for changing the transmission oil and the type of fluids used. Just because they say they are "sealed" doesn't mean they are maintenance free. Some people would rather save a few bucks on e-liquid than buy what the manufacturer recommends. Personally, I'd rather spend a few euros more today than risk a small fortune later.

ATF replaced in my 2018 Tacoma as a preventive measure. There is no lifetime liquid. Toyota has reduced the service interval for "heavy use" to 60,000. There are several fluids that claim to be compatible and comparable, but why not use what was in the truck? Be sure to enter the correct amount. Do not use any other fluids on your Toyota where AC gear oil is required. This fluid is a bit more expensive, but if you run into a fluid change problem, do it right and only use this Toyota WS fluid. My 235,000 mile Tundra transmission was having shift problems. There are reviews questioning the legitimacy of this product but that's the real deal. I found it after buying 6 liters from my local Toyota dealer for $15 a liter.
