Used for Ecobee4: Transformers

I have used this with my Ecobee4 but have found that especially on windy days (which is common in Rhode Island near the bay) the performance fluctuates and I believe this to one lead will turn off Ecobee. When they contacted support they said that this 24v AC was "faulty" and that I should have one that outputs 27-28 volts (what?.). Anyway, they offered an Elk brand power supply. I refuse to give this rating stars because guess what, this thing outputs just over 24 volts and will likely…

Ecobee fix fan fan delay

I used this in a slightly different format than most. My Payne oven has a C-wire, but during each heat cycle there is a fan delay timer where the fan runs and air circulates in the oven. During this time, the voltage on my Ecobee thermostat dropped and turned off the unit, delaying the next heating cycle and causing the thermostat to lose communication with remote temperature sensors, WiFi, etc. I reconnected this device to the oven. , disconnected wire C from the oven board and connected to…

Difficult installation

The instructions are very vague. I have a 3rd gen Nest thermostat as my rc has been used before. I used Rh instead but got an error and the thermostat got stuck in the error message so I found out the two white wires aren't what they are. different polarities there is one with black lines one is power and the other goes to C so I used Rh and C which gave me an error which I was allowed to ignore but the error was still there so I did researched further and tried to connect power (wires with…

The two-wire millivolt oven works with the 3rd generation of NEST.

Use this information at your own risk. I take no responsibility for your decisions and actions. I got my unpowered millivolt oven to work with FastStat. There was absolutely no information about this on the internet. Shown from top to bottom: THTP (not used) TP/THI used Fast-Stat to hook up a millivolt oven system that used a thermopile and had only 2 wires coming out of it. Wall-to-Thermostat with Nest 3rd Gen. I was able to install a 3rd gen Nest by adding a 24VAC transformer. A wire from the

Going back to my original review

I purchased this 24v transformer to power my Ring Video Doorbell Pro. Installed a transformer and attached it to my doorbell and everything worked fine around 7pm, after that the ringer stopped working properly. The ring has not established a connection to the WLAN. I first searched for faults using online resources and initially concluded that the 24 volt transformer had failed or was no longer providing the required power. Because of this, I initially gave this product a negative rating and…

Will not fit most thermostat settings

I'm an engineer and very experienced with these things. Installed internet thermostats in all sorts of weird places, including a 220V socket. But for Honeywell's simple internet thermostats, this solution doesn't work. This is a perfectly usable 24V transformer, but unfortunately it cannot function properly as it cannot supply an independent "C" wire, ie a common wire that will work with the 24V that most HVAC equipment supplies . It does a great job of completing a circuit with itself, i.e. H.
