Legendary quality and performance at an insanely good price

Turtle Beach has been around since the dawn of computer sound (and Turtle Beach sound cards were used by the most dedicated gamers; SoundBlasters were for mere mortals). These headphones reflect a long tradition of quality and performance. The surprising thing is that they are so cheap (their sound cards used to cost hundreds of dollars).

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Not the best

You get what you pay for

We bought these for my son to play his video game and they only lasted about 5 months, the mic stopped working. I know they're only $19.99 but you'd think they'd last a little longer. He knows he uses them like regular headphones for his tablet and he knows we ended up buying him a new pair. This time we've decided to spend a little more money on it and it seems we've done well so far.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Nothing

Works very well for me. Good for what you pay for.

I bought this to have reliable voice chat when playing Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on my Wii U and also for other games that need voice chat in the future could support. The current price of $23 is very good. The only problem I have is that it may hurt your ears after wearing it for about an hour. This seems to be a problem with many cheap headphones, you just need to know how to adjust them so they don't pinch your ears as much. I also don't like that I can't remove the microphone. Great headphones! at Nintendo Systems

I was looking for a headset to play Black Ops 2 on Wii U for a good price and came across these. To be on the "cheap" side, that's very good. The game sound mixed with voice chat is great, you can hear everyone clearly and the game sounds crystal clear. I'd recommend this headset if you're on a budget or just need a headset for a few games (as there aren't many games on the Wii U that use the headset right now). Also as an added bonus; I recently tried using this for my Playstation 4 and itโ€ฆ

If you have a Wii U, this will help!

I needed a headset for the new Wii U console and first tried another cheaper brand which should work but was disappointing. They take care of your Wii U headset's needs; I've been playing with them in Call of Duty Black Ops 2 for the past few days - and they're very clear to other players when they speak. I removed a star because they could be noisy; Now that might be down to the Wii U gamepad, but turning the Wii U volume AND the headset volume up to maximum it was JUST loud enough in a quietโ€ฆ

Cheap but poor quality

I bought this pair a while ago to replace my Sony Gold wireless headset for my PS4 on the cheap. When I got them in the mail they came in a green box with all the markings on them. When I opened it up, you could see the headset itself with some manuals, a Turtle Beach sticker, and some manuals. The headset was made entirely of plastic, and the earcups had thin foam pads. Now I will tell you about my pros and cons of these headsets. Pros: - Comes with a 4-pin 3.5mm plug. This means you can useโ€ฆ

Excellent accuracy but damaged by cable

Absolutely perfect for music or phone calls. I was surprised at how much better fidelity and highs were than the twice the price Klipsch (the Klipsch's "burning in hours" didn't help). The Turtle Beach NLa headset features a superior boom microphone encased in a micro metal tube. It's an inexplicable shame that according to other reviewers, the insulation on the wire from the headphones to the remote was made of plastic, which in a year became brittle and then literally cracked and crumbledโ€ฆ

Headset is very thin and looks like it will break before active use

I bought this because it was nine dollars instead of the advertised retail price of $35. I thought/hoped that this drop was due to the slow sales of the WiiU and not the quality of this headset. After all, the box bears "Nintendo's Official Seal of Endorsement" and Turtle Beach isn't an unnamed brand. The headset is very thin and looks like it will break before active use. The ear pads are too light, I can feel the hard plastic underneath pressing against my ears. It would probably hurt if Iโ€ฆ
