Great and very effective product for lowering phosphate levels

I've been using this phosban for about 8 months now and it's amazing. My phosphates are always around 0.01 and always constant. I make sure the flow in my Two Little Fishies reactor is set low so it doesn't disturb the fosban too much. I use it in combination with two other reactors, one with biopellets and one with activated carbon. I recommend!

Good manufacturer! for filter accessories

Bought at 10ppm po4. The manufacturer was very helpful. The product could easily be added to the 2 liter Phosban reactor. I used 25g for my 55 gallons. Launch it at around 25 gph for a slight noticeable drop in media. I'll let you know what my Po4 is in 2 days just before the water change. 3 days later and no visual effects. Update 3-1-21: I recently contacted the manufacturer and they have been very helpful, I have to highlight how well these people support their products.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Negative gift

Not 150g product as advertised

Before I opened this I saw the container was only about a third full and wondered why they use such a large jar for so much product. I decided to weigh the container and found that it only weighed 97 grams instead of 150 grams plus the weight of the container. The container was sealed under the lid so brand new. It also had a media pack so the total weight had to be even more than 150g of the product plus container. It may be a good product, but it barely made it for my PhosBan reactor. This is

  • There are other interesting options.

Be careful with this product!

I followed the directions and poured the recommended dose into a marine aquarium. My tank immediately started falling. Corals and fish got sick. The fish raced around the aquarium and suffocated near the surface. The corals ballooned and began to release threads. I took out the fosban as it was only there for about 10 minutes. I did a little research and saw a post from another person who had the same issue and recommended taking much less than the recommended dose. I wish I had done more…

Pros
  • Pretty pack
Cons
  • Can't remember
