Well if you are handy!

I used them to fix the AUX input on our 2007 VW Jetta Wolfsburg. Initial input became unreliable and creaked between the left and right channels. Simply pull out the front panel, remove the input circuit board, solder on the existing connector and replace it with a perfect fit! Sounds new again.

Pros
  • Stereo cable
Cons
  • not reliable

Not bad but working

Wires are short which makes them easy to fall out and break the wires if you're not careful. This isn't a huge problem though, and soldering to a perforated board will find this. They work well and are good value for money. The pins are not marked, but the middle is grounded.

Pros
  • Audio and video accessories
Cons
  • Some issues

Good replacement parts for any device that uses them

I had a Digitech RP255 with a broken headphone jack and needed to replace it. This was a replacement for what I thought was a non-standard part (it wasn't). Great price, seems better than OEM especially since it has a metal jack hole that can take a little better shock when trying to plug in my headphones.

Pros
  • Accessories and supplies
Cons
  • Error

Suitable for PCBs but not breadboards

As an electrical engineer, I love experimenting with new projects and making small devices. When it comes to stereo PCB connectors, they are all very similar. They differ in footprint, but they are basically all the same in function. Three pins (common, right and left) and one input jack tie the whole device together. The pins on this product are very short. So if you're making a PCB with vias that aren't fully plated, this can be a problem. If you want to use it for a breadboard, jumpers will…

Pros
  • Cables and Connections
Cons
  • Expensive
