Using this product, our team found that the threading dies were not consistent in their performance. While some produced clean cuts, others created jagged edges, making for a frustrating and time-consuming experience. The bright side is that the threading dies were durable enough to withstand regular use. However, the inconsistent performance overshadowed this positive aspect.

This is not a Vermont American. Although the part number 20731 matches the number on the box, it is a Bosch stamp made in China. The cut edges are of poor quality and the die does not cut well. During application you can feel how it binds. Bought to clean some slightly rusty bolts and having only made one it was obvious this was an inferior tool. With 80 rivets to clean I will order something else as it is so difficult to get a little rust through.

Most hardware stores, practically all in the country, only sell quality dies up to 1/2 inch. I got this 5/8 stamp from Revain faster and for less than any local hardware store could get me one. Local shops, especially in rural areas, can only sell what they sell in bulk and are limited in the speed and cost of special orders.
