Doesn't align properly

This tool doesn't fit my DP pattern. The first 10 slots stood next to each other, but gradually they began to overlap with others. I returned it.

Not as useful as I hoped

The template is difficult to remove. I have found that it pulls the beads out when you take it off so you have to be careful with that. That keeps her straight. I just found it difficult to work with, making the process very time consuming.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Some problems

Incorrect orientation.

As you can see in the picture it was pretty well aligned on the right side, but when you look at the left side it wasn't. Some are right in the middle where I need to place the diamond. I tried left to right, then top to bottom, same result.

Perfect little tool

This little ruler is perfect for diamond drawing. Sometimes it won't fit together an inch or so at one end, but it's definitely worth it. Diamonds look far better than just catching the eye. You can't use a multi-bead tool with it, but I think it's as quick or even faster than using multi-bead tools.

A must-have tool for diamond painting projects!

This ruler is very handy for keeping diamonds in a straight line. It can be difficult to get the ruler off the canvas without pulling the diamonds, but I SLOWLY pulled the ruler up, starting at one end and working towards the other end. When the diamonds want to rise and catch on the ruler, I slide them through the ruler and back onto the canvas. I also take the roller and flip the ruler over to make sure the diamonds are sticking to the canvas before attempting to lift the canvas ruler. You…

I can't even imagine doing this without the Grid Ruler

I did my first DP projects without the Grid Ruler and then decided to use it and I will never try that again keeping lines aligned without him. You have to get used to them. As a previous reviewer mentioned, you can't just rip off the ruler after you're done with this drill, you have to take it off and make sure the diamonds go through the holes. I've found that dp manufacturers don't make the diamonds the same size which makes the tool a bit more difficult to use, but I'm used to it. Also…

The best at all!

Well I've been painting diamonds for a few months now and I've found my lines aren't straight most of the time which really bothers my OCD. I had a few on my wish list for a while that were sold out and I finally made up my mind and bought this one. I'll say it's a bit pricey for a "line", but it works wonders for me. It's flexible so you can pull it off when you're done with the section. I will say the packaging it came in was like Fort Knox when trying to get it out. It came on the thickest…

Pros

Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Two problems, two solutions

There are two complaints about this tool. First, it won't pull out without removing the drill bit, and second, it's misaligned. As for the first problem, there is a trick to get the drills to behave correctly. After all drills are placed, slowly and gently pull the ruler up with your non-dominant hand, AT THE SAME TIME, gently press down on the diamonds with your dominant hand. This will prevent the drill bits from sticking to the ruler and you can hear them break out of the tool and fit snugly

Pros
  • Art and painting supplies
Cons
  • New competitors emerged
