Enhanced Barcode Connectivity for Zebra Receipts Review

We have 4 such printers in our office. The load is significant, we buy rolls with labels in boxes. For 2 years with printers, there were no incidents at all. If the printer does not print, then the paper has run out :) Zebras are expensive printers, but really reliable. With its pros: Delivered - Configured - Forgotten. Maintenance is not required. Some cons: Setting up a static IP address is difficult for the first time. I had to google.

Recently purchased this Zebra GK420d from Revain and it has worked for 93 days. When I contacted Zebra about the warranty they said they do not support or guarantee anything sold on Revain. That would be very good to know before you buy. Now I have a very expensive paperweight on my desk that won't even turn on. I have read the description 10 times and not once is this fact mentioned. Attention buyers!

Pros: Feels solid, roll packed in printer, prints very quickly. Cons: I couldn't get it to work properly. I have a Mac and the included driver is Windows based. Zebra does NOT have Mac driver download options. And that's okay, because Macs come with printer drivers preinstalled, including one for this printer! Unfortunately, these drivers only allow the use of the most basic settings (e.g. setting the paper size). If you want to change the print speed or print type, you must use CUPS. Which is…

Obsessed with this thing. We ship from eBay probably 3-4 times a week and this label printer was worth the price. Lots of settings, no ink required, customizable, works with both my Mac and PC. I rightfully believe this was my best purchase of 2020 and I've bought a ton of stuff in 2020.

Bought a Dymo 4xl to replace the outgoing Zebra LP2844 which was a reliable workhorse. After the first 5 minutes out of the box, the Dumb Dymo labels were off center and continuously pulled through the entire roll. Even for trying something different, I punched myself in the head. I searched for zebra on FBA and found this one. Installed on Mac. Holding down the button for two flashes took a full minute and a batch of 165 labels to calibrate the UPS labels. And packing lists. My fiancé bought this for me as a present. Too bad there is no support for Mac users when it comes to this printer. I ended up returning it because the supposed driver you had to install to make it work didn't even load. Apple couldn't even help me, and the zebras themselves say they don't offer any help to MAC users. very bad!

This one is even better than the previous one with a better driver, speed, quieter, more robust etc. Bought 2 more after getting a good taste of the GK420d. I used to have a used ZP450 that blew up a few months after purchase. This product is better because: It has a surge protected plug. I think that's why the last one blew me away. -- This device is smaller than the ZP450. I do not know why.
