Color Free Turtle Food

My turtle loves these and I'm glad the ingredients are "cleaner" than some other brands of turtle food I've bought. I try to stay away from artificial colors and flavors and judging by the ingredients list this is a great option. My tortoise still hates cranberries but the bottle says it may take a while to get used to the taste.

Great food for turtles! Best in Fish & Aquatic Pets

We have been feeding our red-eared turtle this food for 6 years. He can be picky, but he will always eat anything. They've recently started slicing the cranberries (they used to be whole) which helps me worry less about him eating them. We had to take him to the vet last year and the vet said he has never seen an RES pet grow this large because he was fed mostly on store bought food. It was certainly small when we bought it and is now 9-10 inches long.

It's convenient and easy. Obviously that can't be all they eat.

This is the only brand of turtle pellets my red-eared turtle will eat. She loves cranberries, dried mealworms and krill. You can actually buy all of the ingredients individually for a lot less (like trout pellets at the farm store), but putting them all together is quite difficult. It's convenient and easy. Of course that can't be all they eat as they need to get 70% of their diet from plants but for those 10-15% protein in grains this is ideal. I will buy them as long as they make them.

Good Stuff - Fish & Aquatic Pets

I don't really like it but our map turtle loves it! She ignores the cranberries. She likes shrimp and mealworms better than balls, but she's already quite big, so let's give her balls first. If she eats them all, we'll let her have some tastier meals. Not to say she doesn't like the balls, she loves them and they crunch nice and she likes them. We tried quite a few types of food before settling on this one. The balls float normally. If we give her too much at once (how can you resist those…

No seal, open lid, danger?

Even before I opened the box, I saw pellets falling out. Then I opened it and saw that the lid was not closed, the seal was not applied and the other items I had ordered smelled like turtle food. I tried to solve the problem by emptying the food from the box back into the container but it overflowed, there was way more food than the container could hold, no wonder the lid wouldn't close . Other reviews said my turtle doesn't like cranberries, he refuses to eat them. My turtle eats everything…

Senior Turtle Approved!

My 28-year-old red-eared slider has completely lost interest in her normal pellet food over the last few months and only eats fresh food. I was concerned he wasn't getting the vitamins and minerals he needed, so I tried several other floating pellets and sticks. He didn't have any of these. Then I stumbled upon this gourmet meal by accident and he couldn't be happier! The moment I splashed water on him, he started attacking any small piece like live prey, even pellets! The only thing he doesn't

The best food for fish and aquatic animals

Our turtles LOVE this food. I actually took it out of the original container to mix with the wheatgerm our turtles need, so the picture is of the real food in the jar and not the original container (ignore the smaller brown bits in the food because that's what it is which I added). I just wanted to take it to show how many mealworms it has because my turtles are crazy about them! Our turtles don't touch cranberries. They both took a bite and haven't eaten since. Maybe someday they'll learn to…

Sharptooth and my wallet love it

I used to buy Reptomin brand turtle food but I found my red-eared slider was tiring of it, most likely due to age. I started looking for different packages and found that most of them were expensive in terms of quantity and cost. I found Zoo Med Gourmet Aquatic Food at the pet store and my turtle was instantly hooked. I was pleased to find that Revain is offering a 12 ounce bottle at a fraction of the price. Other brands seem to have stale krill/insects that look old and stale, but this brand's

ONLY ONE OF MY TURTLE LOOKS REAL, ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

My turtle is very picky. She won't eat any other turtle food after I started feeding her this. Not only that, the first time I actually went out she went 2 whole days without food until the food came. I know it sounds crazy but it's true! I fed her salad carrots, both cooked and raw, and she didn't eat them. The only thing she fiddled with a bit was the cooked chicken. It's true that others have said that they've recently started slicing cranberries that used to be whole, which helps a lot…

Definitely a GOURMET BUFFET for turtles!

I have now switched from Flukers to this Zoo Med Gourmet Turtle Food and all 4 turtles are happy with it. While I have to say that my turtles seem to be delighted with any food in the aquarium, this may not be the most compelling review of the product. I have to say it made feeding easier with the mix of pellets and mealworms. , shrimp and cranberries (Flukers only has pellets and mealworms. Sometimes you can get dried shrimp or 2) allow you to only have one container of food instead of having…
