Full Crickets: Not chunky like other brands

I really like these crickets for my son's bearded dragon. These are complete crickets, not pieces like some other brands. He really seems to love them and that saved me from getting live crickets which was torture ass. I would not recommend them for very small bearded dragons. They're probably too big. We live in the country and it takes half an hour to buy live crickets and they are very expensive. For us, this is a much better option, and it costs a lot less.

  • Great price

Does not take long. Food Grade

3 star rating and here's why. Pros: My gecko loves them. There are large and small sizes for different size reptiles. They're baked crickets and they stink (I didn't base my review on that one factor but they stink. Once opened they really don't last long enough to use the whole jar if you only have a reptile or two. 2 weeks If I start to see mold growth in a jar and it happens 99% of the time with refrigeration I will order again as I dislike touching live crickets but I am sad they are worthโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Some difficulties

This undoubtedly makes feeding a lot easier and cleaner BUT I had tried another brand before and settled on the Zoo Med brand. Wowza who knew canned crickets were good quality. The other brand was a bit of both, but Zoo Med was intact, the crickets were plump and our bearded dragon was in heaven. Use canned crickets first, they save you time, hassle and mess; Secondly, only use this brand. It will not get better. By the way, I never thought I would be compelled to write a review about cannedโ€ฆ

My chickens loved them!

Buying something like this for the first time. I am new to poultry farming and have been looking for protein sources for my chickens as free range feed sources are becoming scarce due to the changing seasons. I opened the jar expecting a disgusting smell but there was none! I also expected to be disgusted by their appearance, but they were just decent-sized dead crickets. They didn't look bad and, like I said, didn't smell at all. I put them in a chicken feeder and literally five chickens ateโ€ฆ

I never thought my lizard would like dead crickets.

My giant lizard's diet consists mostly of live mealworms. It can sometimes be painful to search the bin for mealworms, and they're also drier than other insects. Live crickets are terrible because not only are they noisy, but they also smell. I decided to try these canned crickets to mix with mealworms and really found the perfect solution. I never thought that she would fall in love. Dead crickets, silly as that sounds. She literally can't resist and they're a lot easier to feed than diggingโ€ฆ

Zoomed > Fluker's on Reptiles and Amphibians

Luckily I used it here before using Fluker's. I started using Fluker Locusts with my beard but I didn't want to continue using them as the quality was very poor. After seeing this deal on crickets I ordered them and never wanted to go back. Between orders I tried Fluker crickets and soon threw them away. First, these crickets don't have a very bad smell and never bothered me, whereas Fluker crickets made me almost nauseous every time I opened a can. They also come in the form of a whole insect,

  • Hard to tell

Huge crickets that most of my reptiles like

I have a bearded dragon, some leopard geckos and an African bullfrog that can eat crickets. Anything but geckos like that. But my geckos are unusually finicky in general, so someone else might have a different story. My bearded dragon isn't as agitated as live crickets, but he'll eat them if you let him for a while, and in a pinch they'll do the same to my frog. The smell is honestly very bad, smells very musty and like old olive oil and, well, dead baked bugs, but I haven't had any issues with

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
