I personally don't care if magi has a gpuminer or not (but I have been contacted by someone who had your authorisation to make one. for amd, it isn't like nobody is looking ), what I don't like is that you want to change the rules of the game middle game. And technically it will just hurt the small miner. People with large hashrate will still have large hashrate but since the decrease of the hashrate they will clearly make a lot more with your reward system. So actually by changing your algo you are even changing the "fair" distribution and reward system you put in place and sorry this seems fishy to me...

Pros
  • Some whale came into Poloniex and posted a 28 BTC buy wall this afternoon. I think this is what finally pushed the price up. Time will tell if this is a legitimate buy wall or not. If he/she withdraws that wall, get ready for a roller coaster ride lol The M7M algorithm is unique to magi - it effectively combines a few algorithms together to make it very difficult to ASIC and also has an inbuilt limit which reduce rewards as hash power increases which makes it more difficult for large miners from coming in and taking all the coin. Magi is very unique (and also good for the environment - as it needs less power to PoW), I suspect it could cause some interesting supply/demand mechanics as popularity grows
Cons
  • I would feel more comfortable about using the MagiCoin network. This is now the second time that I have seen a major breach of reliability in my time with the coin, and like I said before, this recent mishap with the elusive VPN attacker may be the last nail in the coffin (metaphorically) for many who might be looking to use this crytocurrency. As volatile and unpredictable Bitcoin and Ethereum may be, at least they're exactly that for different reasons than this coin.
