Steem is a blogging site that allows content creators to monetize their creations. The functions offered are roughly similar to other platforms of the same type. The main difference from its competitors is that people can vote for content that they find most interesting or that they simply liked. Depending on the votes received, the content creator may receive rewards. The Steemit network creates STEEM coins every day and distributes them to its users, who can then exchange them for other…

Pros
  • Steemit works with a reward system for active users. It should therefore naturally increase popularity if the profits of users are attractive.
  • Content creators will be encouraged to create content that appeals to users, rather than uninteresting content that will increase their profits with referral links, for example.
  • The more active a user, the more they will be rewarded.
  • The Steemit platform is intuitive and easy to use.
  • Many people already use Steemit and its reputation in the world of cryptocurrencies is well established.
Cons
  • STEEM parts are concentrated in the hands of a few users.
  • It is difficult for new users to have influence.
  • The 3 token system can be difficult to master for a beginner.

It is changing the way we use social media, by allowing users to earn rewards for their active participation. By putting an incentive behind interaction, this technology is creating a thriving community where quality content matters. Steemit dot com, represent a widely used, pragmatic utility that continues to grow at a respectable clip. The UI is pretty easy to understand and will be familiar to anyone who has used Reddit, Medium or Quora before. One thing that is different about Steemit is…

Pros
  • The platform, a cross between Reddit & Medium where contributions are given votes, provides news and commentary for users, as well as a forum to ask highly personalized questions. •It is a democratic platform, Added privacy feature, It is a fully decentralised and open source project. •Steem-apps allow creators to make money via their shared content. •A good way to earn passive income, The more quality content you create the more you get rewarded. •It is the first social media application to reward its users with cryptocurrency. •It is one of the most secure blockchains in the cryptocurrency market. •Steem blockchain is the only blockchain that can handle social applications at scale. •The Steem system works to incentivize the use of Steem, potentially supporting demand for the STEEM token. •The smart media token (SMT) is a novel idea that could be useful to website operators to create and manage a custom token. •The system is easily updated and implemented without any problem.
Cons
  • •Platform lacks certain features like pages, chats, and groups. •The concentration of STEEM ownership in the hands of a few large miners. •Still it may be early for decentralized social media platforms. •No details provided on how management will sell SMT’s to the broader publisher community.

I think that despite its obvious problems, steem has a track record of innovation. Very interesting solutions have been promoted. We have to wait

Pros
  • I think it's a social platform that really rewards the interaction. Since the donation system of others platforms may not work for many users. A fast network, without commissions. A good number of dapps running on the steem blockchain like Steemit, Actifit, Steempeak, Dlike.. A wide community of users
Cons
  • The constant inflation of the currency. Lack of innovation and development on steemit.com. Constant hardforks that can be annoying. Full of bots and lack of readers on the platform.

Content in social network

It is a fresh idea as a platform in the style of Medium but, you want to make publications or other publications of content that according to the public is relevant. All this directly in the Steem network, likewise admit different dapps with the advantage of relatively low execution transaction and in some cases zero. However, its use is impractical, especially in the creation of post also lacks an official app. Its main problem is that it is not yet implemented with other social media…

Pros
  • It is possible to earn cryptocurrencies generating interesting content for the public that uses this platform.
  • Have access to the world of cryptocurrencies, without investment.
Cons
  • Slow and somewhat complex registration process for new users.
  • Without application for official mobile, it is possible to access from third-party apps.
  • Use and publication of somewhat tedious content.
  • Some contents are little accepted or with a small community.

Steem is the main currency of the steemit network, which can be obtained through publications or by buying it, users who vote on publications on the steemit network, create a hierarchy of content. The more votes a post has, the more STEEM will win. The platform also allows negative votes, which users should reflect according to what they publish. In a way, Steem is, in essence, a social media platform, which the use of STEEM is specific to social media.

Pros
  • It is obtained through the publication of quality content in the steemit community, creating an incentive to improve the capacity of its users when publishing new content, developing the capacity for innovation and improving the use of programming language that steemit has or just buying what. There is a direct relationship between the consumer and the producer, that is, the users and the platform have direct contact when it comes to monetary transactions. Your steemit network design is well designed.
Cons
  • Low prices in the cryptocurrency market. Little popularity, after being one of the most influential token

A social media platform on Blockchain - Steem

Steem is a blockchain database which supports community building and social interaction with cryptocurrency rewards. Its cryptocurrency powers the application Steemit, which is native to the Steem blockchain. It acts like a community hub or social media outlet filled with content creators like reddit or Medium. STEEM coins are used to reward such content creators and other active members of the community in a transparent and unbounded way based on the contribution. In the beginning, one of…

Pros
  • There is no transaction fees for Steem. Yes, you can send and receive STEEM without paying any transaction fees.
  • Steem is very easy to start and navigate through the platform
  • Possibility to earn passive income through becoming a content creator
Cons
  • The developers of Steem are suspected of controlling the majority of the coin supply.
  • The network uses the dPoS consensus, meaning that big holders can vote for the same people
  • There is a big activation period where you need to wait up to 2 weeks for an account to be activate. If you would like it instantly activated you have to pay a premium

Steem

Steem is very good alternative to mainstream social media like facebook, twitter etc. It has also options to host music or movies. It's good site to use it if you are experieced blockchain user, there can be problems if you are a newbie.

Pros
  • very fast transaction confirmations (few seconds)
  • more than one token ( steem, stable token, other tokens depended on content topic)
  • dPOS consensus which doesn't use so much resources as POW
  • content is not controlled by advertisers like on youtube, faceboook etc.
Cons
  • The way how people earn on creating content is not clear for newbie/non technical people
  • Using steem effectively needs knowledge how works also steemhunt, dtube etc.

I love this project because it allows you to make money by doing what most people already do, which is just by interacting via different social media platforms. All of your posts, likes, resteems (equivalent of a retweet) can all potentially earn you some side income. I'm shocked more people haven't already made the shift. I've personally been using Steemit now for over two years and although the rewards have been discouraging at times I feel like I'm finally figuring it out and making a…

Pros
  • Getting paid to do what you already do online? Hey why not? Not to mention it's a pretty great community of people for the most part. There are also many great side projects using the backbone of Steem; such as Steempeak, which is a fantastic for scheduling blog posts and the Partiko app for allowing mobile users to stay up to date/post pictures/comments/etc.
Cons
  • The creators for a long time weren't seemingly very involved with updating the project or pushing to market the project.

In general terms, steem fulfills all the functionalities that can exist in a cryptomoneda, from the speed, the intuitive, the initiative, the social network that it is, and I could dare to say that it can be promoted as the exchange currency for intelligent cities, something that would be the reboost for the blockchain technology and with that it would definitely be the breaking point for this great technology.

Pros
  • To start steem was created in the best possible way, a cryptomoneda to reach everyone. Its main benefit is that it was able to get as a social network that pays its users to write a good post, in addition, the connectivity that makes around the world is another of its great advantages. Without a doubt, steem came to stay and open a world of possibilities. We must also talk about the speed of the exchange are only less than 10 seconds that last transaction something that for future cities will be of great help. Steem is definitely here to change the life of the world.
Cons
  • Probably the effort that their devs will make, because when they started I remember that the value of the steem was above $10 and today has dropped a barbarity. Is it a lack of initiative? or maybe a good transgressive marketing? What I do know is that this is probably its only contra, its current value.

Steem(it) has some drawbacks, but currently, there is nothing better on the market. The community is positive, development is constant and it stood test of time.

Pros
  • Steem(it) is proven and battle harden platform for blogging that proved its concept for two years already. An average new user can expect to earn small rewards, ranging from 0.1-1.0 $ per post, which is a small amount, but still way better than 0.00 $ you can earn by posting on FB or your personal blog. There are several communities that can boost your awards if they find your post valuable (Curie, for example) and in that case, you can expect to earn between 10 and 50$. If you are an expert in STEM field, you can join steemSTEM or stemQ and provide yourself very measurable additional income. Probably the strongest community is Utopian if you believe in open-source software and if you have significant skills. Coin itself is very good, scalable, fast, no fees... And many dApps are starting to pop-up in Steem ecosystem.
Cons
  • New users could be discouraged at the beginning when they see how poor their earnings are in comparison to more experienced users. Voting power is very centralized in reality, and this is bad and good at the same time. UI is very rudimentary, based on Markdown and users need to learn how to edit posts.

STEEM have huge potential. The Blockchain itself contains many contents, various information, not merely transaction. STEEM needs a better leadership and team, not to forget large sponsors and more promotion.

Pros
  • Fast Transaction Feeless Transaction (Cost Nothing) Content post is free A lot of useful and active DApps
Cons
  • Ned Scott is inadequate enough after Dan Larimer left. Can't join for free, registration either paid by user or sponsored by steemit.

dPoS-Blockchain based Social Community.

dPoS-Blockchain based Social Community.

Pros
  • No fees. Posting rewards. Fast transactions, only 3s. Huge contents. Global user groups (US, Europe, Asia, ....) Offline local communities. Censoring resistance.
Cons
  • Development information is not shared. Absence of middle class. Censorship about website.

My life changes with this project. I lost many hours for a day. I live in Steemit.

Pros
  • Steem is best cryptocurrency. Because i earn my life with steemit. In the future, many people can change their lifes with steem blockchain.
Cons
  • Team is very weak. When Dan Larimer leaves, Ned Scott was failure. He is not a leader of community.

I am no more with the traditional social networking sites because they hardly reward a common person for his time & contribution on the platform. These sites sell our data to the companies like Amazon, Google and many. Do you even realize it? They are stealing our data and they are centralized in every way. Own your data and join the revolution Steem

Pros
  • The Project to disrupt content industry giants like Facebook, Instagram etc. Could you possibly imagine that your network on traditional Social Media Sites helping you earn some real dollars? Let's take my example; I am a poet and I used to upload my poems on Facebook without any rewards and I used to comment on other people's content for likes and hearts. What if these likes could turn into real money? Yeah, Steem is disrupting the traditional way of content creation. The likes on your content are converted into dollars, all you need is to create good content for people. Are you ready to join the fast pacing community; Steem Community? There are many dApps on the Steem Blockchain; Steemit, Dtube, Partiko, SteemMonster, Esteem and if you have still not heard of them, I can only help you by giving you my profile. I would be more than happy to welcome you. Visit Steem
Cons
  • If you ask me the disadvantages of Bitcoin, I would probably count many but Steem...Oh gosh. Anyways, There is always room for improvement and I think Steem blockchain can work upon Scalability. Many people are joining the platform and they are becoming part of Steem Community.

The future of Steen is bright as the community try as much as possible to solve the cons of the platform. I really look forward to the release of Smart media token (SMT)

Pros
  • Its a decentralized platform where so many developers are given opportunity to host there own app on the Steen blockchain With SMT, independent dapp will be able to create their own coins and different features will definitely follow. Its feeless transaction is awesome 3 sec transaction It has an amazing community
Cons
  • Whales control what post is trending of Steemit Video file can not be hosted for so long Users with larger stake sell votes as a source of income Only users with large stake can transact more on Steemit due to RC

Steem is a great place to visit, the steem token has not been able to maintain a particular amount for a long term since 2016. The platform pays in both SBD, STEEM and Steem Power. The Steempower is what determines the amount of reward a user can give, the STEEM is the liquid Steempower, while SBD is the token Backed with steem. Steemit native currency Steem can be mined as the blockchain is arranged in a block form of 21 blocks. The blocks are mined by miners known as witnesses. The first…

Pros
  • Steem, built with the blockchain technology, is believed to run base on the proof of intelligence as well as proof of stake. Steem has helped users learn about building communities. The platform has been existing since 2016 and users have been able to utilize the blockchain to reward one another based on quality content and contribution. Not forgetting that the platform does not charge any fee for transaction and it's blockchain time is very fast, at about 3 seconds.
Cons
  • The platform is dominated by bid bots thereby killing the major purpose of the platform. Users who can afford to get enough token end up just multiplying their stakes by voting on irrelevant posts and comments so as to earn a large proportion of token. Users without personal connections and/or Power can barely survive on the platform based on quality content.

It really is a very undervalued currency at the moment because its technology is very good and it is a really fast currency, I can only advise that if you want to invest in a good project, fast and stable Steem is the currency to consider.

Pros
  • The technology behind Steem is very good, it is a really fast currency since its transactions are only made in seconds surpassing any other cryptocurrency. This year 2019 the SMTs are born that come to compete with the ERC20 of ETH only with the SMT of Steem you can create a coin with very little knowledge about programming or about blockchain technology. In addition, Steem has its own social network which supports people from all over the world in the creation of quality content.
Cons
  • According to my experience in the use of Steem in more than a year, I have not seen any lack, sometimes there are coins that get stuck in some Exchange but that is something very sporadic.

Steem also called the Smart Media Token on steem chain that used for their users in reward system. STEEM is worth to invest, beside you can actually own SBD that backed it up by USD.

Pros
  • Steem is the cryptocurrency reward for steemit.com platform as the blockchain social media that paid its users in contributing qualified content. Actually, steem network run on STEEM-CHAIN as the main explorer for all their transactions. STEEM succeed in attracting public crypto enthusiast in participating within their site (social media dapp) as decentralized app steemit offer its users the reward for the content they provided through the systimized alikes reddit (upvote/downvote). You can easily collect the STEEM through joined within steemit by providing some content (blog, pictures, video, & etc.) Actually the highest prices of steem recorded on january that hit for about $8-11 USD. The achievement of steem later than adopted by some of other its conpetitors. Beside, there are another STEEM token named SBD (STEEM DOLLAR) that backed up by USD.
Cons
  • In buying/withdrawl steem you must be aware in filling the address, caused steem address required both Address and memo. Steem is fluctuates, beside SBD is backed up by USD.

Essentially Steem is a mixture between a spin-off of Reddit and an everyday blogging site which pays you for both producing quality content and curating other Steem User's content. A very rewarding project that fully (and very effectively) utilises Blockchain technology to create arguably what is the Social Media network of the future. A highly active user base means that Steem is the most active Cryptocurrency at the moment but it has nowhere near the traffic issues that both the Bitcoin &…

Pros
  • - Steem uses Blockchain to provide a feasible service, not just another useless ETH-based coin - Very active user base - Busiest Cryptocurrency in terms of trading - Scalable to cope with surges in activity & transactions - Potential future giant of the Social Media world - One of the better investment opportunities there are (safer & higher return)
Cons
  • - Issues of User Retention

Created by Dan Larimer, creator of EOS and Bitshares Is the backbone of steemit.com, the worlds fasted growing blockchain social network.

Pros
  • Fastest and most transactions per second Scalable User friendly Already has many dApps built on it, such as DSound and DLive
Cons
  • The value of the coin tends to fluctuate a lot Hopefully, it will stabilize once it's out of beta
