AirBOSS FBA_755 Closet Dehumidifier Review

I love this item. The cabinet size is just right for a closed cabinet like in your kitchen. The closet isn't airtight, but tight enough for me. After 6 months the old one was filled with liquid. I bought my second with the same confidence. You don't see anything for a week. Check back in a month and you'll see water building up.

I've never used anything like this so didn't know what to expect. The instructions say to remove the foil lid and leave the bottom white lid in place. When I got mine the foil lid was gone. It has already been removed and the package has been wrapped in cling film. The crystals inside were chunky and stuck together. So the packaging was already exposed to moisture.

The product tolerates moisture well. However, the container leaked and any chemical it contained leaked out, destroying a pair of limited edition shoes. This not only discolored them, but also distorted the structure of the heel so I couldn't even put them on. Super disappointed and really upset. Cost me one of my favorite shoes and the money I paid for it. DO NOT BUY.

I have used this in my front loading washing machine as an air freshener between washes. Even if the door is left open between loads, it still smells musty. I live alone and only wash a few days a week. After only 2 days when I go to the laundry room I don't have a musty smell. I like that it's airtight and doesn't spill liquid if I accidentally knock it over while going in and out of the washing machine.

My closets really aren't damp, but I still wanted to try these dehumidifiers. And I was surprised to see the difference! I love how they look, how easy they are to see when they need replacing, how snug they are, how efficient they are and how unobtrusive they are - their presence is almost imperceptible. My house lasts a few months before it needs replacing, but I'm considering putting a few more in my bathroom cabinets, especially under the sink. They probably also work great in sealed…

I have received this item for many years and am delighted and very disappointed with the backordered item that arrived in the post. This item used to come in a tall oval case with a plastic fabric lid (see photo) to protect the product's fragile fabric wrapper. The item I received was half the size (although both containers state 6.7oz) and had no protective cap.
