    A good product. best replacement wicks

    arrived in original packaging in excellent condition before the promised time. Looked just like the old one. Works like the old thank you.

    Stable for our humidifier

    This filter works great and is very easy to install. I have used several of these and have never had a problem with the quality of the product.

    Price and performance!

    I had a "custom" brand - nearly twice the price - that stopped dripping in less than three weeks. This Essick 1041 is a real find. Price and performance! (But really check that price. You won't do better anywhere!)

    is one of those things that you will have to deal with from time to time if you own a specific humidifier model. I wish they had made them more durable and washable so they can be used over and over again. You should pay attention to this when buying a humidifier. As with printers, the running costs for ink and the like make the purchase unprofitable.

    Great idea but needs tweaking to work effectively.

    Absorbs a lot of water, but when fully loaded restricts airflow and expands sponge material. I had to add a block of wood between the plastic body of the wick and the front of the humidifier to keep the airflow from pulling the wick to one side. Slows airflow and increases draft resistance. May or may not put extra strain on the humidifier fan motor, but will definitely slow down evaporation. Using sponge material is a great idea, but you need to find a way to improve airflow.

    Price and performance!

    I had a non-genuine brand almost twice the price that stopped being absorbed in less than three weeks. This Essick 1041 is a real find. Price and performance! (But really check that price. You won't do better anywhere!)

    It works well but I think the Essick Air brand is better because it seems to absorb more water from the shell to improve evaporation efficiency. This one seems to last longer, but I change it out after every winter. I'm going back to the Essick Air brand.

    Stay away from unbranded wicks!

    Very poor product for the price. Should have spent $3 more for a branded wick. We have been using this product for almost 7 weeks now with very disappointing results. Our humidifier is set to 35% and runs continuously. We have had this unit for about 5 years now and it has never worked that much and we usually set it at 40%! The wick is completely dry except for the part immersed in water. We always use reverse osmosis water so the wick lasts longer and we've never had any problems with drying…
