Makes it easier to hang your bike once installed correctly

For the price this is a decent bike mount. You have to spend some time, as everyone mentions, to properly hang it to the length of your bike. I had to replace the screw that came with the kit to make sure it was secure and wouldn't come loose. I also wish the pulley was metal like the rest of this elevator and not plastic. Easier once and it works.

I have to do what you say!

1. Bike weighs less than 50 lbs. my 49.6 is fine so far.2. Secure with included 2" screws as shown. 1 1/2 screws shipped. (I purchased 2" stainless steel construction screws for installation. 3. I picked up the bike with the rope provided, it came 2 Feet off the ground.Bought a heavier rope from a local home center and is working fine now.Product defect. Then what exactly are they responsible for? It's just irresponsible!

Everything except "Hard Mode ".

After I installed the system according to the instructions, the whole system almost collapsed in my head. And the problem with the anchors supplied by the manufacturer is that they don't have the right application. They will not hold a bike under any circumstances, they are designed for hanging light weight items on the wall rather than hanging from the ceiling. So eventually I went to Home Depot and bought toggle bolts and spent more money on them than I did on the entire system. DO NOT BUY…

simple and cheap but you get what you pay for

I have rented whitewater kayaks with this which I am sure will test the 50lb weight limit, although not by much. Pulleys and construction are cheap but I raise and lower the system almost 5 times a year so it will probably do. The main issue is that the rope that comes with it is nothing more than a cord, so I keep wondering when this thing will break in my garage. Like I said, you get what you pay for and it's cheap. Probably better for kids bikes or really light stuff like a paddle board or…

Generally ok, the rope is too light.

We ordered three of these bikes to collect from the garage floor. They were easy enough to install (my husband did the work and my supervisory responsibilities weren't overly onerous). They work as intended, but look out for adjustable grips to match the seat and handlebars. They can and will move and drop your bike if you don't keep an eye on them. The biggest problem is the line they contain. After just a few uses it's worn a lot in places and honestly doesn't feel heavy enough for that much…

Good and bad but overall what I expected

The hooks for the back of the bike didn't feel comfortable so they just slipped off. 1 bungee cord and I got more confident. They give you 8 plastic anchors. Nowhere in the manual does it say how to use them. They are there to make sure you either hit the cleat or set the board to lock onto the cleats. It was just confusing. I also didn't like that the pulleys had so much space between the pulley and the housing that I could see the rope getting caught there, but so far so good. If you have a…

  • Sleek design

  • Makes me nervous

I bought this with the intention of repurposing it to use on my sound system instead. I'm an electronic music producer, so most of my tracks are played on big outdoor speakers. So I wanted to model a typical outdoor array system on a much smaller scale, with the highs and mids played overhead and the lows on the floor. That way I can hear it as it should have been as close as possible. Raised in this way, it mimics an outdoor system. Does not apply to studio use and film viewing. It took a bit…

Is working . with a few creases

I wanted this to be a 20ft retractable ladder weighing about 35# to hang from the trusses in the garage. The hanger seems to be suitable for this application, which is also noted in the description as a possible use. While the hooks seem to work fine, it would be more stable to place the hooks further apart, say 4 inches. The supplied screws were unnecessary as the first one burst when tightened; They were too brittle so I replaced the structure. I wouldn't recommend using plastic drywall…
