Heavy Duty - and Heavy

I installed them on a 7" side grinder and used them to remove heavy rust on a 6x12 landscape trailer. They did an excellent job removing rust and scale , and the wires have lasted longer than I thought (working with the trailer used them both up, but they made it) One thing to keep in mind when using them is that they carry some weight and when they start To spin, they may have something to hold on to, especially on rough metal that tends to snag on wires.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific

You may not know it yet, but you NEED one of these.

I saw a video on YouTube of a guy using one to remove slag from electrode and cored wire welds. Seems like it worked too easy lol. Tired of all those hits with a hammer on the slag and a wire brush.? Put this on your cheap angle grinder, leave the grinding wheel on the best, and you'll rarely have to wire brush again. It's thick wire and aggressive. Clean the area before welding and after. I can't believe I've never had this before.

These guys get the job done like bubbles on steroids.

Quality product, aggressive, balanced and ready to use. An old relative of "el cheepos". Except for the occasional flyby, you won't be showered with tiny metal darts, although it's wise to wear goggles at all times. I am removing old school 100 year old steel casement windows to replace them. We are talking about decades-old paint and rust deposits. I use these brushes to get into the corners. Like blister cleaning on steroids, these guys get the job done, leaving a gently polished, paint-ready

Pros
  • Cup brushes
Cons
  • Large and bulky
