📸 Panasonic Lumix Leica DG Summilux Lens for G Series Review

My favorite lens. I travel a lot and my use case is to photograph friends on the beach during the day and at sunset, cities at night (including bars/clubs), food I eat (I'm Asian), and art in a museum. I hate using flash so this lens is perfect for me. If you're new to photography (like me) you'll need to use your feet to zoom in and out. I upload some photos, no special lighting, no photoshop and drunk. The pictures were taken with an Olympus OM-D or E-PL1 in combination with a lens.

This is a phenomenal lens and a must have for low light shooters. It's long enough to serve as a useful portrait lens, but it's really great as an all-round running lens. Background. I have a Panasonic GF3 and was shooting with my 14mm/f2.5 and an adapted manual Canon FD 50mm/f1.4 SSC lens. Both are excellent lenses. Just received a used lens from Revain. Excellent condition for a used lens. Compared to my Olympus 17mm f1.8 lens, it's much sharper on my M5. I still like the Oly 17 lens but will be using it for most indoor shots. If you can afford it; Buy it. Low light performance is outstanding. It's quite large with the lens hood, but feels good on the M5. It will take me longer to decide if this is a better outdoor lens than the Oly 17/1.8. I bought a 25mm Panasonic/Leica Summilux together with an Olympus OM-D E-M5 which I just ordered. This fantastic combination gives me exceptionally sharp images in almost any light (and I do a lot of street photography at night). The ultra-fast f1.4 aperture also enables a shallow depth of field with pleasant bokeh. Oddly enough, the first time I tried it I thought it wasn't magic (my criteria for a great lens). Now I have the magic lenses Canon 50mm f/1.4, Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 and Olympus 45mm f/1.8.
