Dent is a full-fledged crypto exchange that aims to free up the functioning of mobile data.

DENT Wireless, as it is officially called, aims to use cryptocurrency to democratize mobile data and bandwidth in a peer-to-peer economy. In simpler terms, it aims to help users buy and sell their mobile data.
ο»Ώ
According to DENT Wireless, three objectives have been set:
ο»Ώ
1. The release of mobile data: enabling customers to buy and sell their mobile data as equals as quickly and easily as possible, ultimately creating a global market for mobile data and driving prices down around the world .
2. Elimination if not minimization of data roaming costs: DENT aims to eliminate the concept of data roaming by using a system called "Local Breakout" which automatically routes data in the most efficient way possible. Currently, data roaming charges are used to offset the costs of inefficient data routing, for example from a person's country of origin to the country in which they are currently located.
3. Help boost the data sharing economy: Just like Airbnb manages shared living spaces, Uber manages shared transportation and other emerging peer-to-peer systems, DENT wants to drive shared mobile data.
ο»Ώ
To try to achieve its goals, DENT uses an ERC20 token on the Ethereum blockchain and it works through a mobile application in order to make buying, selling and sending data as well easier than using any other application.

Pros
  • The DENT app is easy to download and can be set up in just 2 minutes. In addition, DENT encourages users to download the application by offering DENT for free to all those who download.
  • Dent could completely change the landscape of the mobile data industry
  • They head the application download boards in Mexico and Nigeria
  • Their application is already online on Android and iOS
  • If the Dent coin succeeds, mobile data could become a tradable product, just like gold, oil and currencies
  • As the smartphone industry grows, so does the demand for mobile data.
  • It's a liberating concept that gives you more freedom and control as a customer
Cons
  • The telecommunications industry has many competitors. For example, companies like Vodafone probably don't want their market share to be threatened or decentralized
  • Their success depends on factors beyond their control, such as partnerships with large telecommunications companies, which they may have difficulty obtaining.
  • Dent cryptocurrency hasn't really built much brand recognition. If they want to gain market share, they will have to devote a lot of resources to acquiring customers
