Project Mainframe platform development is a good idea to provide outstanding products that allow for efficient and timely packet forwarding between members. It encourages the delivery of packets from the sender to the receiver and allows decentralized file storage. They lead to decentralized data services. Since then, this project will open up many opportunities for the development of various business activities and directions.

Mainframe OS Public Release is Live!
Mainframe OS is a platform for end users to find and use dapps, and for developers to build and deploy dapps. Mainframe OS provides users with the elegant and cohesive UI comforts they have come to expect from a modern platform. Users can manage identity, wallets, contacts, and other security features in a single, integrated experience.

It’s not an operating system in the standard sense. It is actually an application that is available on MacOS (other platforms supported soon). They call it an OS because 1) it has system-level utilities similar to other OS’s (namely integrated decentralized identity, contacts, and wallets), and 2) once you install and run Mainframe OS, you can then discover, install, and run dapps within that environment. So it is essentially an Operating System for your decentralized experience.

Pros
  • Mainframe is a protocol that allows different applications to take advantage of its censorship resistance features such as dark routing and peer-to-peer architecture. This reduces the reliance of any one application to become successful in order to enjoy the upside of MFT tokens. The development of the project is more advanced than most of the other blockchain projects, with the first application on the Mainframe protocol, Onyx, being built already.
Cons
  • Users need to spend MFT tokens in order to incentivize the nodes to keep the network running. There are a lot of messaging applications that are free to use and users who do not value privacy and censorship as much may opt to use the free applications instead of those built on the Mainframe protocol.
