Theta Token: An Entertainment Blockchain and Digital Economy
Theta Token is a digital asset and open source platform for video distribution via decentralized blockchain. It also represents an opportunity to obtain income for those users who share their bandwidth by serving as providers to the network.
What does theta work on?
Theta's Content Delivery Network (CDN) servers allow a video to be downloaded into the cache of a user's device so that it can be shared only once with someone else. By sharing the content, the user gets rewards in Tetha tokens. In this way a fully decentralized content distribution network is created.
How is the mining of Theta Token?
The mining technology used by Tetha has 3 groups of servers:
1-Enterprise Validator Servers: they are responsible for generating a chain of blocks, such as Theta's partners: Google, Gomi, Binance.
2-Guardian Servants: They finish creating the chain.
3- Edger Cacher: Users willing to share their bandwidth when transmitting the final content.
Tetha's transmission platform has great speed to operate due to the use of 10 to 20 network servers that are responsible for verifying the created blocks. A verified block requires 2/3 approval of the consensus.
Two protocols are involved in the consensus process:
* BFT Consensus: Optimizes network performance and scalability.
* Aggregate signature gossip scheme protocol: consists of communication between Theta servers to validate the blocks.
How can Theta Tokens be used?
Token creditors can purchase products within the Tetha platform, donate their tokens or exchange it for access to Premium content.
These tokens can be stored in the Theta wallet or other compatible ones.
The mechanism used for the distribution of Theta's rewards is known as Smart Streaming Contracts.
