Stunning Samsung Dex or secondary display

Use Samsung Dex as a portable "laptop" or, frankly, a large tablet for the couch in most cases. The display is huge, bright and beautiful. I haven't used a device larger than 14 inches in a long time, so this thing seems crazy. 16:9 makes it a bit unwieldy, I'm a total sucker for a 3:2 aspect ratio. but it's totally usable. Especially with the folio cover that gives you three standing positions to work with. To be honest this thing is too bright. I keep it at 15-20 out of 100 and it's more than bright enough inside. Outside on a sunny day, 50/100 is great. The matte screen helps. It's also been a while since I've used a matte screen device, so it took a little getting used to. It's ok, it just takes a little getting used to. The touchscreen is 95% perfect; There are unregistered touches. Previously this was the case with my Note 20 Ultra and Tab S4 with Dex and my Surface Pro 7 as an extended display. It's rare, but it's so confusing when it happens that it's actually noticeable. It also feels weird because of the matte screen, but I have to put up with that. Battery life is amazing if you turn the brightness down. If the brightness is above 50/100, your battery is dead. Since it's so bright even at very low levels, this wasn't a problem for me. Even when it's slowly charging my phone, the display battery just goes on and on. Speaking of which, it's really not designed to charge a device. Even the documentation says it outputs 3 watts, but that's really just to prevent reverse charging. A nice touch, and it can keep your device up to date if you don't up the ante. I've also used it with a Microsoft Miracast adapter using the included HDMI to Mini HDMI and USB-A to USB adapters. -C adapter for powering the display. Everything worked great, allowing you to have a standalone 15.6-inch Miracast display if you want. Of course, there's no touchscreen support when using an HDMI source. I am very happy that I bought this item. I wish it was 14 inches and a 3:2 aspect ratio, but that says more about me than this display.
