You get a great monitor for the money. And he's bent!

After visiting the Big Box Store to look at modern monitors, I settled on this curved monitor. First, even the cheapest ones looked good, and the more expensive ones looked a little better in my 70 year old eyes. Second, I liked the curved ones. I decided to go from 22" to 24", but after seeing the price of the Specter I went up to 27". As a rule, Spectrtre monitors are hellishly superior to well-known brands in terms of price alone. After a day and a half I can't comment on the "continued amount". My previous monitor was a Hans-G 22" and it still works. I hope this Phantom wins unlike the one in the Bond movies. So, besides the price, here are my comments. Pros: No dead pixels. The color out of the box was good. Just plug in and go without messing around with the settings. The build quality looks good. The vertical part is made of plastic. You can tilt the screen. Clean design with a small bezel. Mounting holes Vesa 100 mm on the back. I can't tell if they fit exactly on the Vesa 100mm mounts. There are two speakers, but hardly any. Text, graphics and videos look good. My kit included an HDMI and a VGA cable. back of the monitor. Do not use the supplied screwdriver as it is not possible to fasten the screws that attach the vertical part to the back of the monitor. Use a magnetic screwdriver or let a small child screw in the screws for you! The stand is not height adjustable. It suited me. The stand attaches to a raised "bulge" right in the middle of the Vesa's holes. You must use the spacers provided if you require a Vesa mount. Can't tell how strong or easy it would be. The controls are on the right side of the rear, with no indication of where or what they are on the front. The good news is that they're clearly visible from the back and the menus and navigation are good, so you can feel it. Better than my Hans-G. The speakers are not very good. There are many PC speakers that are better for less than $25. Plan a purchase if you care about sound. Some found the power cords too short. you work for me All in all, if money is no object, you can find a better monitor, but why spend money on a small upgrade if you don't make a living from your computer. I think this is a very good monitor for home, gaming and general purpose computing. It didn't take long to get used to the curved part, so don't let that put you off.
