Great little product and good buy

I live for this little thing. The glue is really strong. I set it up and waited overnight before hanging anything on it to make sure the glue had set, but screws are also included if you need them for some reason. The hook easily holds a large bunch of bananas and the fact that it can be folded out of sight when not in use is ideal as we have limited counter space and I didn't want it to be noticeable all the time. This item works great and great price

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Older model

Hang your bananas!: Universal hook

So far, so good! We've had the sticky hook for about a month now and it holds up to 7 bananas at a time. It also comes with screws, which is nice. I love that I can hide the hook when we run out of bananas compared to when the bowl with the hook sat on the counter and was bulky. Bananas don't ripen as quickly either, which is great, and they don't kill other fruits around them either. The hook itself is a flimsy, flimsy piece of plastic, but again, as long as it gets the job done.

Not the prettiest, but works very well!

Update: We were having a very hot and muggy day and it fell off. I will use some small screws to reattach it. At least it's cheap enough to just buy another one! I've had it for a few weeks now and I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it's holding up. The bottom of our closet looks unfinished, a bit rough. I didn't think it would catch on to be honest. Well I hit him and he didn't move! We use it every day and it seems to keep bananas from bruising on the bottom. It's not the prettiest, but it…

I never liked chrome

I waited 3 months to test as my main concern was that it would not stick after constant use. After 3 months I can say with confidence that with consistent use this product is sticking firmly to the bottom of my closet. I love this product and my bananas too. It does the job it was designed for - hanging your bananas to keep them from rotting - and does it in style. I've never liked chrome banana holders that are too big to fit under a cabinet. My cabinets look great hanging from below. On the…

  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • boring packaging

Such a clever idea for storage and organization

I love this little gadget! Hanging bananas helps reduce bruising, but it's a nuisance to take up space with a hanger when in use and storage when not in use when space is at a premium. This super cool little gadget removes bananas from the counter then tucks them away under the cabinet when not in use. It seems very strong, but relying solely on glue to hold a large bunch of bananas might not be the best idea. Luckily it has two small holes that you can use to screw it into the bottom of the…

Probably my best buy!

My husband called it "one of your TV purchases" because it definitely looks like something you'd find in an advertisement, but it's probably my favorite purchase! I was initially skeptical that the tape would hold the hook AND some bananas, so I kept the included mini screws in case I needed to add them (which I didn't want to do since it was under the cabinet). and would require me to squeeze between the counter and cabinet at an odd angle to screw them in). Luckily the glue holds the bananas…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

The banana hook we all need but don't deserve

Well, this banana hook is just magical. I recently moved into a house with limited kitchen space, so I wanted to get rid of unnecessary countertop clutter. I also have a dog who loves bananas, and while she doesn't struggle to surf often, there's always a snack option if she can reach her on the counter. Enter the banana hook. It was incredibly easy to install and the adhesive held up really well. I love that you can flip it over so it's level with the bottom of the kitchen cabinet and out of…

Easy to install, supports the weight of bunches of bananas

Honestly, when you first get it you're probably like me wondering if it'll just collapse under the weight of bananas. Tell me it's not! I hang 6 to 8 bananas in at a time and it's still going strong. It's that easy to install. I will say that before sticking it on, make sure you check with the hook down and folded to make sure you put it in the right spot (far enough away from the wall for the bananas to hang, and in a spot under the closet so it can be folded properly) because it sticks very…

Pros
  • Folds away invisibly when not in use. Perfect for kitchens, dorms, RVs, campers
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Who would have thought?

I can't believe I'm reviewing a piece of plastic! But this thing is like a banana changer! rzunimag. I used to eat bananas in the fridge in Texas instead of at home during the day (AC is usually off). Others said it would save them from perdition. Well, they usually turned black and soft around day 3, and after that they mostly shrank. Bananas produce ethylene gas (C2H4) from the stem, which acts like a plant hormone. Putting them in an enclosed space like a freezer will speed up the ripening…
