The only reason I couldn't give this toy the full 5 stars was because I had to return the first one. I bought this for my son for Christmas and when we opened it the batteries were dead. I understand they are there for "demonstration purposes" only, but I didn't expect them to be completely dead. My 9 month old loved it for Christmas and still loves it. He dances to the music, likes to open and close the oven door. I keep him in Spanish to help him learn Spanish and so do I. Bought for my 18 month old and it was definitely age appropriate and I'm sure he would love it. However, the furnace did not remain closed. I don't know if it's a design issue or if we're just confused. We closed it and it opened either immediately or after about 10 seconds.
