Brilliant but only increases opacity by a few millimeters

Such a cool idea and a really shiny glass. Cons: This leaves your focal length only around 19mm, which isn't a huge change. I love using this lens, but unless you need a *slightly* wider prime lens all the time, then this probably isn't for you. I can say with confidence that sharpness and image quality in general have not been compromised. Whoever created this beauty did a great job.

Deals: Camera & Photo

Convert from 35mm equivalent to 28mm equivalent which isn't much of a difference. No impairment of picture quality. This is especially useful if you use Panorama mode a lot. I would recommend buying a "telephoto" converter first, which will convert the 35mm equivalent to a 50mm equivalent. Also order a pair of 49mm lens slot covers when purchasing this lens. They fit both the front and back of this transitional lens. This wide adapter comes with a cheap back pressure cap that is easy to remove…

Great addition to the X100T!

I used it on a long trip to New Zealand and it was a fantastic addition to my X100T. I use the X100T and the S9+ for all my photography (having carried DECADES of Nikon DSLRs and SLRs - even on multi-day hikes). The ability to switch from 35mm to 28mm provides enough flexibility for my use case. Installing a lens adapter in the Q menu makes life easier. I only shoot in JPG format and I find that it doesn't affect my SOOC JPG files in any way. Love it and wish I had bought it when I had my…

Nice but big and heavy

I have mixed feelings about this conversion lens I bought for the Fuji X100S. The converter allows you to take a picture break without affecting the picture quality. But it's quite big and heavy, which changes the overall character of the camera. I bought the X100s as a carry-on camera. With the conveyor belt attached it gets a bit bulky and certainly won't fit in a bag. Of course, the extended length also removes your fingers from the lens controls, making manual operation a bit awkward. I…

Nice addition

Love it! I cannot talk about all the technical features associated with this lens. There are many great reviews out there - and I would recommend reading them to get a better idea of what it all has to offer. Here's what I can tell you in simple terms: 1.) It's not a requirement for the Fuji X100s2.) But it's a great addition to add a little more range to your shots. 3.) It definitely works as advertised and I haven't noticed any reduction in the sharpness/clarity of my photos. I'm sure they…

Another prime lens is best

Great lens! looks and work. This has been covered here before, but there is one thing I should add. Make sure you enable wide-angle mode in settings. This encodes EXIF so that the image can be identified as having been taken with a 19mm lens. Otherwise the wrong lens correction profile will be applied (for a standard 23mm lens). In most modern digital camera lenses, distortion, chromatic aberration, and vignetting are corrected in software. If you activate the wide-angle option, you can do the…
