Perfect for $25 - Computers & Accessories

Looks great. Feels like a $25 premium over all other adapters on Revain and eBay. If you don't want to burn yourself out with a card that has fanout built in, get this one. The name works great and cool. SATA3 picks up full speed with no issues. Runs about 6° cooler than my adapter with the heatsink attached.

Works in Mac Pro 5.1

This adapter worked quite well. The fan blows back out of the card and back into the computer, which is not good. I changed mine and flipped it. I'm not suggesting that. If you need a card with a fan for nvme, buy a red Glotrends card with a fan on the back. It is beautifully built and I am not disappointed. I have a Samsung 970 evo with a Glotrends heatsink.

Don't forget to initialize in computer management

I'll keep it simple, it's great. Great alternative to expansion

Pretty clever. Too bad it was dual PCIe NVMe. (One uses SATA, the other is PCIe) Turns out my phone had two m.2 slots, which I thought was great until I realized that one of SATA ports 5 and 6 was disabled, ie I got him to replace that slot as I have 6 hard drives that all need to be used. This PCIe m.2 adapter helped me run two m.2 SSDs without sacrificing SATA ports. I don't know if a small fan really does much, but I think it's better than no fan. In general, it's worth the pennies I've…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • A few little things

Works on a 2010 Mac Pro

Use this on a 2010 Mac Pro for additional drives. Using an NVMe drive as the boot drive and part of an SSD for storage. The adapter board was nothing short of plug and play, it just worked, no Mac discs needed. The presence of a fan on the adapter provides additional coding, which makes everything very convenient. Would recommend this to anyone with an open PCIe slot on a Mac or PC. Mine has been running for over a year with no problems. I have a WD SATA blade in the SATA slot and a 1TB Sabrent

If it worked perfectly, it was worth two stars

Some junk. If you award more than two stars, you get money. To start you need really good lighting, a keen eye and steady hands just to take the lid off. Coming back is even worse. A card fits in easily. The other would not fit at all. I had to use my dental tools to remove the plastic so it would fit reasonably. I worked two hours to assemble this thing. Considering how bad it was, I was afraid to turn on my computer. With a sigh of relief, the computer didn't burn down. I even thought I might

Wrong item on the picture, better now

Update: BUY THIS ONE! It works exactly as advertised, is actually an improvement over the model in the pictures (now has a better fan layout) and is very affordable. I even managed to trick my old system into booting from the nvme disk! The difference in latency between any SATA drive and a good SSD NVMe is definitely noticeable. However, don't be afraid to load up SATA m.2 slots for backup storage. I have 2 of these and each slot is occupied and working (4 SSDs total). Don't buy an SSD with a…
