Description of Gorilla 6100101 Handy 1 Pack Black: Sturdy and Versatile Adhesive Solution

Convenient for on-the-go repairs; it packs a powerful grip in a portable size. Great for smaller repairs or projects. It is made to stick to rough, uneven, unforgiving surfaces. Can also be used for clamping surfaces together. Double-Thick Adhesive; Grips smooth, rough and uneven surfaces. Tough, Reinforced Backing; The tight weave contributes to the heft, but Gorilla Tape can still be ripped by hand. Rugged, Weather-Resistant Shell; Withstands moisture, UV rays and temperature extremes.

Strong but limited tape suitability

Gorilla Tape is known for its strength, but its application is not equally effective in all circumstances. For example, if you put it on a surface that always keeps the same stable shape, it's probably fine. But if you put it on a surface that flexes and flexes, eventually that deformation actually pulls away from the tape. Plus, waterproofing is a big promise. I wouldn't use this as a patch on a tent or inflatable jet ski, for example. This is a task for more specialized patches that are…

Falls off in cold weather

I have used this tape indoors outdoors where it will not get wet or be in direct sunlight but will be exposed to heat and cold. Installed and pressed in firmly on a 65F day in September. Now in December from 15F night it flakes off. Very disappointed considering what was said. Just updated in March with a few photos: I used masking tape to trim the fiberglass screen. So part of it was taped to duct tape and part was on a fiberglass screen (and it would have to be sticking to itself through the…

One of the photos is of a different product

The middle photo https://amzn.to/3mLYrpd shows a man in a gray t-shirt using a large roll of 2 inch wide Gorrilla tape. This is NOT the product for sale. Gorilla 3044401 Tape Handy Roll, 1 Pack, Black B001E5ZWT4 is only 9 m long and, above all, only 2.5 cm wide. It's smaller than a regular roll of duct tape. I expect it to be great for a variety of uses, but if you're expecting a roll of duct tape the size of duct tape, you won't get it. Also deceptively, the size is only displayed in METRIC. I

Convinced me of the best tape

I've seen ads for Gorilla Glue and always wondered if it really works as well as it says it does. While I can't speak for the glue, I can speak for the tape. I have a 2 year old grill cover that gets exposed to inclement weather 12 months of the year. That fall we had a storm with very high winds that knocked down a few of my neighbors trees, knocked over all of our patio furniture and even lifted our grill a few inches when the wind picked up cover. The next day when I was about to fix…

Where duct tape doesn't work, it probably will.

I have a leather sofa that is about thirty years old. The storage area is ripped and I used regular duct tape to secure it making it twelve inch by twelve squares. The item came off, leaving sticky glue on my clothes and pillows. I then decided on Gorilla Tape which is a wider material I bought at Wal Mart and did the same with a large square to cover the gaps and that material is black so it looked better than the silver to begin with on my purple sofa. It worked damn well, and after a year I…

Buy Less, Waste Less

Media failed to load. When I buy a large roll of Gorilla Tape, I inevitably cut 1-inch sections and roll up a larger roll of duct tape. I also find that I carry a large roll of tape when I often only need a few inches. A small roll of Gorilla Tape solves these problems. It's 1 inch wide, which works for me for most things I use Gorilla Tape for. A big role is often too much of a good thing. And that small roll means I carry it with me more often just because it's light. Yes, this small roll is…

Ideal for MTB tubeless and on the trail, Just Incase

Gorilla 3044401 Tape Handy Roll is a great economical alternative to expensive rim tape to convert mountain bike tires to tubeless. I always keep a roll of this on hand as its uses seem endless. I always wrap a couple of 20 inch lengths around my mini pump on my MTB just in case. You never know when you'll need it on the trail to attach something to your bike, temporarily tape a tear in a tire, secure the soles of your shoes, or whatever else might happen to you. The first time I used it to…

Gorilla Tape saved my phone

I dropped my phone down a drain yesterday. I forgot he was on my lap in the car and when I got up to get out he fell on the ground and down the drain. I panicked because not only was it my phone, but my phone case also contained my driver's license and debit card. I threw myself on the floor and stretched out my hand, but there was at least one leg between my fingertips and the phone. I tried to flatten myself to slip through, but alas! The rainwater channel was not wide enough for me. I found…
