Fabulous! - Cane Umbrella

I love this umbrella, so feminine, lace embroidery throughout, crystal handle with cute design. Simply wonderful, the photo does not convey it. You like sequins and bling, you will love it. I have lupus and cannot be exposed to the sunlight so this is the perfect umbrella for sun protection. And by the way for every outdoor occasion.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons

Beautiful umbrella in luggage and travel gear

Beautiful umbrella, can't wait to try this summer. I've used unlined umbrellas in the past, but I think the black lining does a good job of keeping out the heat. It was a little difficult to open, but I think it can get easier if the material stretches a bit. I wouldn't recommend using it as an umbrella when it's raining, but I think it will work well as a shade umbrella.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Sad gear

The handle is so small that it is difficult to hold it

Nice umbrella. But as a user, you only see the black plastic underside. The biggest problem I have is that the handle is so small (see photo). It only fits two fingers. Since the umbrella itself is a bit heavy, it doesn't feel comfortable in your hand with such a small handle. You end up holding the pole too, which is awkward. It's also difficult to roll it up properly to fit back into your tote bag.

A pain to open but great

First I received the wrong color in the post which hopefully I can fix at some point when the sellers get back to me. Second, the design is very cute, but laying it out is very inconvenient. This is one of those umbrellas that snaps up so you have to fold each spike. I think the fabric is a little tight because I've always had the problem of folding a piece causing the opposite side to unravel. I burst into tears of disappointment. So I guess I'll never close it again.

  • Good build
Cons

Weak no matter how good.

The umbrella is so beautiful, but the frame for it seems so cheaply made that when I first opened it I was afraid it would break. Then when trying to fold it back it was impossible to fold it far enough to fit back into the tote bag and seemed like just tugging on the strap to keep it closed enough to get around and the material would tear. It's thin and that's why I'm going to return it without even trying to use it. I bought it for travel and maybe I just needed to buy something less…

You have to fight to open it!

First of all a very nice thing, the embroidery and the optics are very nice. The problem is that it's awful to open or close! You have to manually snap each folded piece into place, and once you start struggling you'll find a plastic button you have to press to open it. Just like you, you must also press the button to release the rest of the grip! When it's open it's beautiful. But try again to close it and do the whole very complicated process in reverse order! Someone has to come up with a…

Nice but needs some tweaking

I'm one of those goths who likes an umbrella when I'm in the sun, so I bought one for a vacation while visiting a few ghost towns in Central Nevada. I spent a week under the hot August sun and this umbrella protected me (as far as one could expect anyway!) and kept me cool. I didn't have any burns and that's a HUGE plus. However, the screen is not as strong as I had hoped. Part of the handle doesn't snap, so the handle isn't as long as it should be, which is disappointing. And at some point the

Has a wide diameter, so even "better " EVERY sun hat!

Besides the unusual decoration, this hat is better than any other sun hat because it has a very large diameter and can be tilted (manually) in any direction against the scorching sun. After watching the ladies at the Kentucky Derby in so many beautiful wide-brimmed hats, I was surprised to see that many still had the sun on their faces and necks. Umbrellas and parasols are of course not allowed at this particular event (due to the risk of "scaring” the animals). nevertheless, it was quite…

To be too good to be true?!

This is the first umbrella I have ever bought and I am very satisfied. I was afraid it would look cheap and be of poor quality. However, the embroidered patterns and order are well done and the overall construction of the umbrella is well done. I bought a tri fold bag to put in my bag when I go outside (for whatever reason). I live in New Mexico and the sun is very direct and I got a little sick from the medication I'm on, but the umbrella worked great. I am sheltered from the most intense heat
