The item I received was scratched. I did not use any sharp objects to open the package or box. The product is SUPER tight. It took me 15 minutes to put it on and I had another brand for my 15" MacBook Pro before I got this 16" case which I had to put on and take off very often so I know how to covers. too heavy! I bought this product a little over a year ago. The product is durable and overall great value for money. My case has a few rips in the corners, but thanks to this case, my laptop is still scratch-free. However, I am very disappointed that this product left an indelible mark on the bottom of my laptop.
