it's slow on USB sticks

It's slow, not what I expected. I don't like the included security software. I was hoping to use the U3 software instead, but that didn't work as the U3 software is looking for the SanDisk flash drive. I only use it for media files and not the business critical files I was hoping to use it for.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons

Defective product, terrible support

I received this product well packaged but the encryption software that came with it did not work as advertised. It crashed on two different computers leaving the drive unusable. I returned the product to tech support and have been waiting for a replacement for two months now. Due to a long delay I had to buy another supplier's product. They answer the phone when you call and they respond with emails but don't seem to be taking any steps to resolve the issue. I would stay away from Maxell flash…

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Slow. USB Stick Electronics

Good design, cover, LED and key ring hole. But he writes slowly. At best 3 to <4 MB/s. Tried on 2 laptops and on USB 2 and USB 3 ports. Large files. Same results. Reads were under 15 Mbps. I bought it for a Windows 8 recovery disk and hope I don't need to use it often, if ever. Slow recording is therefore a matter of course here. So what do you get for that price? And USB 3 is the new standard. Will i buy it again? For the same purpose? Of course. For general use? No way.

Suspected Fake: Computers and Accessories

I have several of these Maxell 360 in 4GB and 8GB (for Linux ISOs) so I ordered this 16GB. The 16GB I got looks like a fake, unlike the photo here or others I have - it's square, won't open or close, the red LED (rather than blue) stays on all the time on and flickers instead of turning on when accessed. I hope this works well, but I don't think you're getting the right thing here. In fact, 14.4 GB is available. I reformatted mine to exFAT with no problems. Other giveaways that it is fake, the…

No password protection

This USB is only USB. Not password protected - and some users talked about a tutorial? I need a password but it's not worth returning it as I can use it for other purposes. Just want to make sure others know this is not as advertised.

Pros
  • understandable for the old
Cons
  • Nothing here

Easy to use but slow

Small size and 360 degrees. The rotating cap for protection is a nice feature. Pros: It has a public section visible to all and an invisible password-protected section; The program is simple and easy to use. Cons: You have to save the installation files somewhere else because an error during installation will delete them (you can order new files for free, but you have to wait to receive them). The software is very slow; takes more than 1 min to lock or unlock your device and sometimes you need…
