Be careful. at Sorting & Stacking Toys

Very cute, like most M&D items. The rings fit well etc. I mean a stick with rings. The problem is that the base (with the stick) has pretty sharp corners. Without the rings, the stick makes a great grip, allowing kids to run around and bang on things, scratch wooden furniture, and possibly scratch each other. Maybe less of a problem for people who only have a small child. I left the rings and top for her to play with and removed the base. I feel like I should have just gotten a 20 year old…

My one year old loves it!

I bought this for my son for his first birthday not expecting him to understand right away but he did! He has trouble with large rings, but can easily hold and put on small ones. Sometimes he struggles because the pedestal falls over and I have to hold it for him. And sometimes he uses the base/pole as a weapon and throws it, so you have to be careful with that. But although it is recommended for children from 18 months, I think it is suitable for a year old. When it arrived it was smaller than

  • Definitely bad product

This is smaller than shown on the product page. It's very colorful and made of wood. I am deducting stars for what I believe to be a design flaw. base rock. Little hands trying to put on rings will never succeed unless holding it with someone else. That's a different ability. My granddaughter couldn't put the rings together because when she tried to move the ring to fit the hole in the bar, the bar moved. There's really no way to succeed unless you line the hole and drop straight onto it, which

The kids love it. Maybe a little dangerous.

I love this toy, but the red wooden ball on top is too tempting for a small child to fling it across the room with reckless force. My 2 year old nephew is learning to throw balls. We have a lot of easy balls that he likes to throw. He LOVES throwing that loud wooden ball down my hallway. I have to hide him when he arrives because I'm pretty sure he'll make a dent in my floor. Although he likes to fold rings. My 8 month old daughter is too young to get one and the wooden center piece is too…

The toy has potential safety issues

When I bought this product I read about the Melissa and Doug toys and didn't want to buy my little one a rainbow stacker toy. I specifically wanted a quality wooden toy and it had decent reviews and seemed reasonable (perhaps too reasonable for the price). When it arrived: The blocks were vibrant and rich colors. Our little one loved it. The sticker on the bottom was a bit difficult to remove (unusually sticky) The inside of the rig was not finished (rough edges not fully sanded or painted)…

Better than any other forklift!

I like it so much! I actually have 2, one for my daughter and one for my husband's cousin's daughter. It's much nicer than the cheap plastic ones, and they don't sing unnecessary and annoying songs like some stackers I've seen. They are just the right size and so cute! One of the features I appreciate the most is that the stick you place the stack on is a straight stick. Some stackers have cone shaped rods and the size of the hole on each ring is different. This prevents the child from putting…
