Works well but has some design flaws

Works as described. Converts my mPCIE on MSI B85i to PCIE 1x slot. I have an Intel x520-DA2 card that only supports PCIE 2.0, but the card shows that it's running at PCIE 2.0 1x speed (I know the weird configuration, I've only used it so far - I don't recommend using a 10 -GbE NIC to operate in a PCIE 1x slot, but at the moment it is much better than the built-in network card). Minus 2 starts for bad design choices. The 4-pin power connector is on the wrong side. If you were to install this in…

It works, but be aware of its limitations.

Well it worked. Use it to connect a GTX 960 to my laptop. There were issues getting the graphics card to properly power the laptop's internal display, but when using an external display, the GPU worked well. This is certainly a significant improvement over the laptop's internal graphics, but the bottleneck is still the fact that it's only a PCI-e 2.0 x1 interface. However, it was a proof of concept before spending money on more expensive adapters. Tried with a few different laptops from MSI and

Worked well with a small graphics card

Worked well with minimal problems connecting a Zotec GT 710 1GB DDR3 graphics card to an Acer Aspire xc-603g via the wireless card slot. Even with limited bandwidth, it's proven significantly better than integrated graphics. To be clear, the computer is not my gaming computer, just something for my daughter to have fun with. The GT 710 enabled with this adapter made it possible to play an educational version of Minecraft. The only two issues I have with the product are that the PCIe x1 slot is…
