Small and compact because it's flat and works well

Although Cat5e is an old standard, it offers the speeds I need. I have a 400Mbps internet connection at home and Cat5e is still more than enough. I chose it over Cat6 cables simply because it's flat, thin and takes up less space than Cat6 or 7 cables in the tight space on my desk. Since I only needed a few feet of cable, I didn't have to worry about interference . If you are looking for a thin cable with good build quality and high speed, this is a good choice.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Sad hardware

Connection welcome

I like that the cable is flat and connects easily to my Wi-Fi extender. I use it to give a strong signal to my computer which is in an extra room with a thick wall. The wifi signal was weak even with an extension cord. So the connection cable works great to give me the right signal.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Extendable

Reliable, huge range of lengths

I've bought probably a dozen of these and they haven't disappointed me yet. Ideal for traveling as they are very compact. I particularly like the flatness and the variety of lengths I can order to meet specific needs. Also considering the price I can save kits compared to other brands.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Negative impression

Perfect! suitable for computer accessories and peripherals

My ISP had 3ft and 4ft ethernet cables connecting several different components of my Wi-Fi. It was the shortest route they took with their trucks. What a mess of cables to connect three boxes next to each other. Replaced those shorties and no more huge bundle of tangled wires.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Easy repairability

Good cable after modification

In general this cable isn't bad for the money. This gives me 1Gbps which is the standard but you may need to modify the cable like mine. The boot was too big for my computer and stuck to the I/O screen so I cut it off a bit and then it fit perfectly. The actual clip that holds the cable in the computer also seems to be a bit shorter than the rest of my cables and I had to use a pen to unclip the clip to remove it from my computer. TLDR: Pros: Decent cable for the money with modification. for…

Flat Fad Computer Accessories and Peripherals

I had the idea that maybe my ethernet box with about 15 Cat5e cables on the router would look neater if I switched to compact flat cables. The result was the opposite. The ribbon cables cannot be bundled/zipped up (neatly) and the 15 ribbon cables look like a nest of black flexible plastic fettuccine noodles. Flat cables don't always look professional, especially in tight spaces.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
