Description of πŸ“· Neewer Camera Base Mount Bracket for Canon EOS RP: Microphone/Light Cold Shoe Extension, Tripod Mount, Vlog, YouTube, Live Stream Accessories

Designed for Canon EOS RP: It is made of aluminum alloy with a black finish, durable and lightweight. Its metal shape is integrated with the Canon EOS RP body perfectly, good workmanship adds texture and gives you a better sense of touching. Pro Camera Bracket: It does not block any buttons, battery slot and memory card slot. The part in contact with the camera is equipped with a cushion, making it anti-skid, wear-resistant, protecting the bottom of the camera body from wear and tear. Flexible 1/4" screw: The bracket can be installed by rotating the 1/4" screw directly, without rotating the camera or the bracket, which is safe and convenient. Comfortable Handle Feeling: A protruding part is added on the side to improve the grip. Lightweight to carry, it gives you a better camera handle feeling, and provides a better shooting experience. Equipped with a cold shoe mount adapter, you can connect it with other equipment that has a cold shoe, like an external microphone, flash, LED light, etc. At the bottom of the bracket, it has a dovetail groove and some 1/4" holes on the bottom, which enables you to use it with a tripod or other accessories, and also prevents the battery slot at the bottom of the camera from being blocked.

Fits beautifully and neatly on my camera.

Fits my camera well. It doesn't block the buttons or dangle around anywhere, so it's really nice to hold in your hand. It seems well made so I'm sure it will last forever.

Pros
  • Fits me well
Cons
  • No instructions

Good in theory but awkward grip

The body is all metal with some rubber pads pressing against the camera body, the fit with the Canon RP body is fairly good when aligned. A quick cold shoe test is great for accessories. Nothing closes the battery/SD card door. At its price, there are plenty of reasons to love it. Unfortunately, the fatal flaw is that I'm less comfortable with it than with the camera itself. The main reason I bought the Extended Grip for my Canon RP was because I didn't want my pinky to curl under the camera…
