Everything works well except for the plastic part which can be easily removed when attaching the camera. I had to reinforce it with glue so the hot shoe could be installed. Should be metal. cheap materials.

Don't waste your time with this hand. The ball joint holding the camera doesn't move, I even tried putting some lube on it to see if it works, but it's still very difficult to move, even on the lowest settings. This causes the video to become very shaky due to the lack of smooth motion!

I bought this in hopes of getting my first kill during this year's archery season. The frame of the gear itself is fine, the problem was in the camera mount. The locator ball and set screw appear to be very cheap and very poorly constructed. If you're buying this with the intention of mounting the camera rather than moving it, it will work for what you need, but if you're trying to photograph an animal and intend to change the camera's position mid-shoot, don't don't buy that.

Pros: Basically a solid metal product, feels like a quality device. The swivel mount feels pretty solid and quiet, which is good for videotaping your hunt. Cons: The thumbscrew used to tighten and loosen the swivel mount isn't that convenient (quality wise). someone who lives in the upper Midwest, where it's 35 degrees in October, worries me when it gets really cold.
