Very inaccurate

This thing had one job - measure speed. Do it with a bang. I attached the conveyor with a known precise hand stroke at a known speed and the thing deflected at over 10 feet per minute. If accuracy is important, then this is not your hand tactic.

Pros
  • Rev counter
Cons
  • Outdated

Do not buy if you want accuracy

I don't even know what to write, this touch is incredibly inaccurate compared to other brands. ALL readings, be it RPM, FPM, MPM, have an error of about 35%. Spend the extra money if you need accuracy, that's all I can say without criticism.

Pros
  • Test, measure and inspect
Cons
  • Only available in black

Useful tool when it worked

I used this tachometer to find out the RPM of the chuck on my lathe. It worked fine for a couple of weeks and then refused to appear on the display. I changed the battery several times, but now it refuses to show readings. I think this is another Chinese e-waste.

Pros
  • Industry and Science
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
