Best hot/cold air sealing tape, stays in place, easy to remove at the end of the season

This 3M tape is well worth the extra cost and offers a great deal compared to cheaper alternatives in every way better performance. For optimal adhesion, clean the surfaces well with detergent, then rinse and dry well before use. If you take these steps, this tape will stay with you for months. At the end of the season it is best to remove it easily, cleanly and without leaving any residue. It is also gentle on undamaged surfaces. If used on flaking, damaged painted/finish surfaces some flakesโ€ฆ

I was a little concerned as I live in Michigan and it is very cold there.

I live in an old house but I have new windows which are pretty cheap. Needless to say, my house is very drafty. I was immediately impressed by this product. I was a little concerned as I live in Michigan and it gets very cold here in the winter. Windows aren't the best surface to get sticky in winter. But it's holding up great and I haven't had any problems. It was easy to apply myself and I immediately noticed a difference from a draft. In the days and weeks following my application, I wasโ€ฆ

MINIMUM TAPE ON A ROLL

I wrote a bad review a couple of weeks ago advising that when you purchase this product you get an incredibly small amount of tape per roll. When you purchase this you will receive an approx 5mm layer of the actual product around the cardboard tube. Looks almost empty straight out of the box. The manufacturer responded (which I appreciate) by stating that each roll should have 10 meters of tape. Let me get this straight: there were 10 meters of tape on the roll. My point is that you areโ€ฆ

Protects against drafts!

I bought 3 rolls after seeing our daughter and son in law use a similar 3M product to clean their leaking windows. Our few designs. We have casement windows and live in a ranch house. Fortunately, not all of our windows required this. Because these windows are sash windows, they don't have the extra center "line" of double sash windows that require more product.
