I'm sure it will work. But

I'm sure it will work. However, to get to this part on my wife's Saturn Ion, you have to disassemble the entire dashboard or cut an access hole near the A-pillar on the passenger side between the windshield and the airbag. You have to love engineers.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Secret

That incessant clicking has stopped

I drive a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier coupe. My A/C recirculation setting was faulty and the dashboard air box was making a clicking noise due to the drive unit failure. This OEM part was easy to install aside from the tight space you have to work in (under the dash). Passenger Seat The part appears to be working properly and the clicking noise has stopped.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Repair

2011 Tacoma Actuator

Fits exactly as a replacement for the recirculation flap actuator on my 2011 Tacoma (probably other years of the same generation). If you own one of these trucks, you might notice a rumble when you turn on the air conditioning - that's where I noticed mine. It wasn't the AC (fortunately) but an actuator trying to move the flap to circulate air (max AC turns on recirculation). It's hard to get to, but you don't have to carry it to the shop for repairs.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • A few bugs

Good quality OEM part

Fixed a clicking noise related to the air conditioning/heater in the Saturn 06 Ion A little tricky to get to the installation but you do NOT have to go through the dash like all remove other says to replace it. I did this with a 7/32 deep head with tape wrapped around it, using just my fingers (technically 5.5mm, but that's an odd size, and 7/32 is 5.55mm, so very close) . Put your hand between the firewall and the dashboard and feel for it. It took about 45 minutes. complete.

Pros
  • Consistent results when tested
Cons

No more clicking.: Replacement parts

If your air conditioner is clicking and clicking when not in recirculation mode, it may need to be replaced. On a 2004 Cavalier or equivalent, this part can be replaced without removing the dashboard. I managed to crawl under the dashboard while lying on a prop on the passenger side of the car. It's not easy to get there blind (some people remove the passenger seat for a better view), but it's possible. This part can be turned off in about 15 minutes. For instructions, search Youtube for a guy…

Pontiac G6 Fixed Vent Control

Installed on my 2006 Pontiac G6. This part controls the ventilation flap, which switches between outside air and recirculated air. The original part had a broken gear which caused the mechanism behind the glove box to slip and rattle. Installing this part solved the problem and the noise. It took me about an hour to get the job done, although it could have been done much quicker as I was unnecessarily careful when removing the glove box and passenger side access panels (I didn't want to break…

  • This is amazing

  • Vulgarity

2003 Saturn ion recirculation click fixed

I had an awful clicking sound when I started the front defroster or turned off the A/C recirculation. I bought it years ago and let it gather dust thinking I'd have to open the dash to replace it. It turns out you don't. And you don't even need a wrench for the 2003 Saturn Ion. doors, slide the seat all the way back and lie on your back under the dashboard. Use your left hand between the heater box and the passenger side of the car. You can feel it up there until you find it. You will feel the…
