These needles have connectors for the yarn to slide over. Speaking of glides, the yarn glides over these needles and gives your knitting a boost. The sharper tips of the lace allow you to penetrate the stitches and pick up real lace knit loops.

I like Addi circular knitting needles. And the price is fabulous! The needle came exactly when and where it was supposed to be. They packed the needle very securely so it was safe during transit. (One note WARNING: Be EXTREMELY CAREFUL when removing the needle from the tight fitting handmade cap: there were 2 pieces of cardboard that fit almost exactly to the clear cap Addy is using. BE CAREFUL when removing the tape The only suggestion I can offer is shop either use very little tape at the end

I recently got a .40" Addi Turbo Lace Needle Bought with gold cord and I love it.For making magic loop socks it couldn't be better.Unfortunately these needles are not the same.In the picture they are shown with a red cord which I've heard has flexible as the gold cord. However, the needles came with blue cord which is much stiffer. Also, the tips are less sharp than other needles. To make socks out of fine yarn you really need a sharp needle. I really like Addy's nickel-plated turbo rockets. They are smooth, semi-sharp, well weighted and have the best lines. I love that the laces are reminiscent of the jelly material that girls' summer sandals are made of; they are good bendable for the magic loop. I love knitting socks and net scarves so I decided to buy one of the real net needles to try. While I love rocket socks, I'm not a fan of brass pointed needles.
