I recently bought this foil tape, but I only had the opportunity to use it today. I made a flexible air duct for a floor air conditioner to the window. I took it off last winter and put it back on now this spring. This foil tape worked great for my needs. An easy way to separate the foil from the backing paper is to fold a small corner back and forth and the paper will separate slightly from the foil along the edge of the fold line to make it easier to get started. Aluminum tape is a great material. This product is, as I expected, well made and very (very) sticky. However, I found it very difficult to separate the backing from the sticky side. A very simple solution to this is to glue the removable backing in two parts with a very small gap (2mm) between them. Today I finally got around to using this tape and it worked really well to seal the air duct connections and a few leaks, that I found. It's a little tricky to peel off the backing, but I saw a tip from another reviewer that used duct tape on each side to peel it off. I'll try that next time. It sticks to itself easily so you'll have to leave the backing on the back and peel it off as you go.
